Vinny’s Bakery

This place is awesome! So next to BBROOD at the NDSM I have found another place where I can get fresh HEALTHY bread in Noord, which is great!
I love bread. I love being healthy. So to people who are reading my bread/​bakery based review for the first time, let me recap why I’m fussy about my bread:
Almost all bread, including those from fresh bakeries, contain raising agents! This artificial chemicals help raise the dough/​bread without having to leave for any amount of time, resulting in a higher efficiency in bread making and a higher yield of bread!
HOWEVER, these raising agents, are not good for your health and here’s primarily why: They form a membrane around most, if not all, minerals which are then flushed out of your body without being properly absorbed resulting in iron/​calcium/​magnesium/​blabla deficiency. Boo~~~ not good! Especially not for Dutchies who love their boring «broodje kaas» (Seriously, about that! How can Dutch people grab a boring piece of bread, slap some «butter» (because it’s vegetable based and has no milk elements) on it, and not even properly! No! They miss, like, ALL the edges! The edges go butter-​free!!! And then they slap some cheese on it, top it off with another slice of bread that goes butterless, and call that a «sandwich»… nay, a «boterham»… litterally a «butterham»… NEITHER OF THOSE ITEMS ARE ON YOUR SANDWICH! crazy Dutchies… gotta love’m though). I digress.
This place is awesome because they only have naturally levained bread. It’s either sourdough, just flour and water and leave that for I don’t know how long, or with yeast. So either one of these three options but NO raising agents! How awesome is that?!?
Just buy your bread here, is what I’m saying.

This is such a great tiny little store. I am so happy that more and more new cool businesses are coming to Amsterdam Noord. This one is at the Buikslotermeerplein Winkelcentrum. Their slogan says «Viny’s Bakery more than bread» and I totally agree with it. They have all sort of different stuff. From bread (of course) to baking ingredients. Not to mention the delicious cakes, nicely decorated donuts, mini (and I mean really mini) cupcakes and other pastries. Ah and they also have biological food. Only reason why they don’t have a 5 star is for the prices. Is not that expensive but not so cheap either. If you are ever at this side of the city, is worth a visit.
