So this was one of my friends idea, we bought the tickets here in the states before we arrived in Amsterdam. When we first arrived to the first bar my friends I where a little skeptical, the crowd was loud and for some reason it seemed a little sketchy. By the 3rd bar we already had a little buzz and we kept meeting people from around the world. The age ranged from real young to a group of 40 year olds. Although it was disappointing that the drink want beer it was shots that we did not take. I’m glad we went. If it wasn’t because of the pub crawl we would have never met all this cool people and we would have definitely not been able to visit this crazy ass bars in the red light district. Just couple of tips: please know this is the red light district, it’s crazy and sketchy AF. Be careful and always look for people following you, try not to leave your group… Just keep an eye on the tour guides. And Don’t take pictures of girls!!! We saw a guy almost get hit by doing so. Have fun, but know your limits!

Great time, crowd was fun and lively, by the 3rd stop you’re drunk by the 5th stop you’re trashed. highly recommended, especially if with a group. and only like 20 euros

1 star because 0 is not an available option. Don’t take part in this excursion! It’s expensive, disappointing and dangerous! I attended the Red Light District Pub Crawl in May with my friend. We bought the participation tickets, 16,95 € per person and expected to obtain what the ‘party package’ offered. Apparently the unlimited vodka shots from 8 till 8.30pm ment that the ‘professional guides’ will pour some sad pink liqour straight from the bottle into your mouth and in this manner serve all the other ‘pub crawlers’ with the same bottle. While being in the pub/club or bar, if you don’t keep a close eye on the ‘professional guides’ they will just ditch you, as the group stays at one venue up to 30−45min. The ‘professional guides’ will also ditch you amongst the Red Light District canals. My intoxicated friend asked where the nearest cash machine was and one of the ‘professional guides’ instructed him to take a turn left. It turned out that there was no cash machine there and that after speaking to my friend the group was lead to the next venue. Ditching us completely. If you want to partcipate in an drunk survival game with a bunch of strangers lead by some ‘professional guides’ who will help you with getting drunk, but will not in any way take care of you, that’s the party to attend. However, if you strive through the six hour survival party you should obtain all of the complementary shots offered in the event’s leaflet, by that getting your money’s worth. To conclude, don’t take part in this event. But if you do make sure to have some friends with you, a tracking device on you and not to have any unfinished business as it might be the last event you’ll take part in. Good luck.

I’ve been on this bar crawl twice. Once in December with friends, and we had a great time! The second time was this summer with one other friend. We were really excited to do this despite thinking it was overpriced because I had such a good time on the previous crawl. When we got there the massive amount of people doing the crawl were split into three groups. Obviously someone can’t count because one group had 80 people, one group had 50, and our group had 17 people. It was completely awkward and boring. Every time we went anywhere it was empty and not fun. When we tried to leave to join another group we were told we’d have to pay to get into every club or bar and pay for drinks if we left our group. Absolutely not what I paid for or wanted, when it was clearly an error on their part. By the end of the night so many people in our section complained that they allowed us to join another group, but at that point everyone was so angry and sober that we all went home. I won’t recommend this bar crawl again.

There should no bad reviews here! This organization rocks! A friend and I decided to attend this crowd on two separate days and we had a blast not only with the other people we met along the way in this group but the guides themselves! The guides were awesome, fun and just plain out party animals! They made the whole experience one to always remember! The Leidseplein crawl one was fun! If you want to experience the nightlife of Amsterdam, definitely consider this group! :)

We had friends in town who wanted to see the infamous Amsterdam Red Light District and so booked us for the Ultimate Party Pub Crawl at a cost of 17 Euro each. We arrived early for the 7:30 pm start. We left around 7:55 and were taken to our first pub(Players) which is supposed to be a sports bar. As part of the pub crawl, we were supposed to receive unlimited vodka shots from 8 pm until 8:30 pm. The pub crawl staff made us wait outside the bar for a good 10 – 15 minutes and then took another 15 minutes to take our already purchased tickets, give us a super cheap XL t-shirt(which fit none of us) and place a hospital band on our wrists. Little did the staff know but we had native Dutch speakers in our group and we were amazed to hear them openly talk about how they could stall us long enough to miss out on the vodka(as we were old according to them) and we would eventually get bored at this bar and probably never make it to the second bar. They also said that the younger people in our group(who were literally having vodka poured down their throats) would probably not make it past the second bar due to the fact they were so drunk! So, we missed out on the vodka and decided to step up to the bar to get our shots of liqueur. All they had was Jeager and sour apple in tiny tiny mini shot glasses. Hardly enough for a taste! One of our friends decided to make the best of it and bought a round of beers. Upon the purchase of the second round of beers, we were informed that we could have purchased pitchers and saved some money. Of course this is after we bought two rounds of overpriced beers. It’s not like the bar staff didn’t know that we were part of the pub crawl(we had identification bracelets afterall) and should have steered us towards the cheaper option for a group our size! By this time it was around 9 pm and we were getting a bit bored with this bar and its prices and asked the waitress when we would be leaving for the next bar. 9:30 she said… ouch 9:30? The pub crawl staff was right… the younger people were drunk and we were bored and we decided to take our own Red Light District tour followed by a nice dinner and drinks. All-in-all this sortie set us back 102 Euro for the tickets, another 80 Euro in beer and a good 2 hours of my life I will never get back. This was definitely a 182 Euro rip-off. My advice is for you to save your money and steer clear of the Ultimate Pub Crawl.

On my way to Oslo I scheduled a 24hr layover in Amsterdam. I figured if I was flying into a brand new city, I may as well take time to enjoy it. Figuring I wouldn’t have time to really learn the city I decided to reserve a spot on the Ultimate Pub Crawl — why not? The folks running the crawl were extremely nice. The shirt fit well, and we did receive a free(mini) drink at each bar. That last bit was annoying. It takes just as much effort to pour a tiny glass of beer as it does to pour a normal one(MORE effort for less gifted bartenders), and a normal glass of beer is more likely to bring his friends. I get that I was in Amsterdam during the Eurocup, but still — there was hardly any folks out for this thing. I get the feeling the ads on line showed the biggest group they ever had. There was about 40 of us out two Saturdays ago, and just when the group started to get interesting, they had us split into two groups to take different paths around Leidesplein. The group I was with was about half Bostonians, and the other half were just quiet. Eventually, I headed back to the airport to hang out there.

I feel like I’m a little too old to attend, let alone enjoy, a pub crawl through the red light district. That said, we all had a really fun evening! We were celebrating one of my friends 30th birthday and were consequently dressed as school girls(!). The pub crawl involved 5 bars and a nightclub, most of which I wouldn’t have entered voluntarily, but actually turned out to be great fun! There were numerous employees from the tour company who were all really friendly and great company. It was also a great way to meet other travellers from all over the world and I was lucky enough to chat to some fantastic people. We were given a free shot in every bar and unlimited vodka shots in the first bar. Strangely, you weren’t allowed to drink these out of a glass, instead they had to be poured directly into your mouth. A strange concept at first but one we quickly adapted to after a couple of drinks. A dance competition was organised for the girls in the first bar, the winner getting the opportunity to pole dance on a table(winner — really??!). This probably would have gone down a little better later in the evening, to be honest we were all a little sober for such an awkward experience at this early stage! Drinking games were organised a little later but again this was hard to put into practise with a bunch of multilingual drunk people! The tour guides were quick to disappear when we arrived at the club. I’m not really surprised as it was a terrible club! And they run these tours every night so I’m not surprised they want to get away as quick as possible! I would recommend this tour if you are in Amsterdam with a group of friends, just remember to leave your inhibitions back at your hotel!
