Was my favorite coffee shop I visited while I was in Amsterdam. I sat in the front near the window that’s fully open while people came by and chatted with my group of friends and i. Good green selection would come back for sure.

Myself and three co-​workers found this spot after popping into a few others in the area for after work drinks. Due to the area some bars/​pubs have their prices higher than necessary, but not this spot! Great prices and the lady behind the bar was quite friendly. We we able to grab the table in the front and watch the snow fall while we had our Friday evening drinks together to decompress.
NOTE: There is a sign just inside that makes sure you know that they are not a «Coffee Shop»! Apparently this is a misconception! Just a bar, with (I believe) a room in the back if you would like to small (with ventilation).

Qui dit Amsterdam, dit Coffee Shop !! Bien évidemment !!
N’étant pas un expert en weed et en coffee shop ;-) nous sommes rentré dans The Greenhouse Effect un peu par hasard !
L’odeur vous attire en passant devant et vous êtes aspiré à l’intérieur ;-)
On se sentait à la fois gêné, limite délinquant (en tant que français…) et à la fois des vrais gosses comme si on allait acheté un jouet ! ^^
Pour seulement 10 €, vous avez 0.70g de Lemon je sais plus trop quoi !! 7 à 8 joints pour nous ! Et franchement, ça démonte. J’en reviens toujours pas !!! ^^
Pour les non fumeurs, vous pouvez également vous y rendre pour boire un verre (sans alcool). Cocktail, jus de fruits frais, smoothies, Tooop !!!
Pour ce qui hésite encore ^^ vous n’avez qu’une seule vie, profitez-​en ! ;-)

Im Amsterdamer Rotlichtviertel begrüßt Sie das Greenhouse Effect. Frühstück ist täglich bis 12:00 Uhr erhältlich und die rund um die Uhr geöffnete Bar hat auch eine Happy Hour.
Der Dam ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt und bietet eine gute Straßenbahnanbindung an die anderen Stadtteile. Auch den Amsterdamer Hauptbahnhof können Sie bequem erreichen.
Zur Ausstattung der individuell eingerichteten Zimmer gehört auch ein Kühlschrank. Als Gast einiger Zimmer nutzen Sie ein Gemeinschaftsbad. Alternativ wohnen Sie auch in den Apartments des Hotels.
Bier und Sidre wird den ganzen Tag über in der Bar des Greenhouse Effect im Erdgeschoss ausgeschenkt. Die Bar ist sehr bekannt und bietet das Beste in Sachen modernem Drum & Base, Reggae, Dance, Funk und elektronischer Musik.
Ansonsten ist zu sagen: Die Lage ist perfekt. Alles vor der Haustür: Zentralbahnhof, Vergnügungsviertel, Spazierengehen an den Grachten… Sehr charming ist die alte typisch holländische Architektur.

Très bonne sélection de beues. Ambiance jeune, musique rap. Du bois, des petites pierres aux murs et du vert. Chocolat chaud avec crème chantilly 2,50e délicieux. Le personnel est agréable. Petite terrasse en face du canal.

I LOVE reviewing places just so I can show off that I’ve been to them… and of course I would never review a business just for that… I would only review a business that I LOVE.
I’m against giving bad reviews, I’m more of a… if-I-had-a-bad-experience-I’d-have-a-human-to-human-conversation-about-it… type of person.
Needless to say, I LOVE THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT!
I stayed there for two nights in one of the apartments that they make available… it was wonderful, spacious, views for people like me who really love good views… so REALLY good views… the people who run this joint are super nice, kind, and warm… and if I stayed here every time I came to Amsterdam I would be happy.
Go to Amsterdam, smoke some of the stuff they have to smoke, rent bikes, eat cheese, buy tulip bulbs, and stay at the Greenhouse Effect.

Sehr schöner Coffeeshop mitten im Redlightdistrict! Neben seinen sehr fairen Preisen für Weed und Hash ist vor allem die Bar mit ihren exotischen frischen Früchten zu empfehlen. Für den Vitaminkick wird dort gesorgt!
Das Pesonal ist sehr nett!
Für mich schon seit Jahren der «best Coffeeshop in town»
