Really bad experience. We’ve done many escape rooms around the world, and this by far is THEWORST experience. To start: We waited 20 minutes to be let in by the host. The game: Lack of instructions make the game not fun at all. Not to metion that we had an emergency during the game, partner was in extreme pain and was knocking on all doors — host did not open at all. Just terrible experience. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of the reviews are FAKE.

That moment when you escape the Sherlocked room in time and celebrate the victory with your awesome team. You’re detectives, solving the mystery of the lost code, guided only by your gut feeling(your mobile phone will be waiting for you in the entrance meanwhile). You’re going the tightrope walk of paying attention to unremarkable yet crucial details and not getting lost in irrelevant ones. You use your creativity to solve the hints that take you one step further. Team work is everything. But even the best ones sometimes get entangled and need a sign from above(so to say). Hallelujah and back on track. The adventure is a little pricey but definitely priceless.

Tremendous fun, and I say that as someone who failed to escape from this locked-room game. It’s centrally located in the Beurs van Berlage building, where you’re met by a smiling facilitator who helps you get settled in and explains how it works. Then you’re locked in to a rather ornate office for an hour with nothing but a mysterious backstory and your own wits. To get out, your group will have to solve various puzzles, using the props and furniture in the office. It’s all very satisfying, and we rocketed ahead in the first 15 – 20 minutes, unstoppable. Then we got stuck on one particular puzzle, and never quite got back on track. it’s an active game as well as a brainy one, so don’t arrive drunk or in stilettos. Go with a group that can work well together and isn’t afraid to think out loud. There were four of us, but this can easily work with various-sized groups. It’s not for little kids, but teenagers will love it. Not cheap, but definitely worth it for an unusual evening out.
