Wasn’t really expecting much but had a surprisingly pleasant meal here tonight with some colleagues (one of whom spent much of his childhood in Zuid-​Afrika).
I had the curry beef samosa, which was good but not earth shattering. Well cooked, though — crisp exterior and served with some sweet fruit chutney.
For main course I had a venison in some sort of port and fruit sauce. The meat was very well cooked, but the sauce was a but overpowering in tartness. Some salt might’ve balanced the flavor. It was served with some sort of green and a potato rosti, which I’ve only been served before during Passover haha.
Great, but slow service. Two restaurant cats too, if that’s your thing.
