Delight Yoga

Love this place, almost every teacher i have tried I liked (and i can get pretty picky when it comes to yoga teachers). Three locations, lots and lots of classes, great vibe!

Very clean, cozy, big and bright studio and great instructors who teach in English as long as there is one person in the class who doesn’t speak Dutch (ahem). I did not end up getting a regular membership though for a few reasons:
1) quite a high price (though admittedly it’s the Amsterdam standard)
2) they charge you for the class if you ‘book’ a spot and don’t show up, PLUS they block you from signing up online if you are a no-​show too frequently — this is too difficult for someone as flighty as me, I hate having to book in advance at all!
3) It’s TOO popular — every time I went the room was ridiculously crowded, and classes booked up almost as soon as they were posted. Of course I went at popular times (evenings and weekends) so I imagine it would be less crazy during the day.

Great yoga class at Delight Yoga. They have two locations. I went to the one on Weteringschans 53, 1017 RW Amsterdam. Worked my butt off this morning! Beautiful, clean, light, spacious location. They also serve yummy spice tea afterwards. Love the Weteringschans location, diagonal across the street from Paradiso. It is tucked in a residential building, you would never know that they had 2 yoga studios in there! Actually want to keep it a secret, but too good not to share! :)
