For Dutch see below. A modern decorated pizza restaurant with a simple concept: Serve a qualitative good pizza. And they do! The pizza funghi was very tasteful(although not the best pizza I have ever eaten). The price was on the high range(over 11 Euro’s per pizza on average). The service was adequate and fast. Because it can be very busy, especially during dinner time(18.00−20.00 hours), a reservation is recommended.

A friend and I visited and enjoyed our time at De Pizza Bakkers. Reasonably priced, tasty, friendly staff. We had to wait a bit on a Monday night, so probably best to make a reservation. They also have glasses of Prosecco for 3.25 € … Not bad on a student budget! Love the post cards they give at the end of the meal.

Best pizza I’ve had in a long time. The staff are really nice and they can cater your needs and change the toppings on your pizzas depending on your preference. Great value for money! Great service! The mozzarella salad is a lovely side dish. Any pizza on the menu with tickle your taste buds and the tiramisu is pretty amazing! If they don’t have a table available there’s usually one available in 20 – 30 minutes — you can sit outside and enjoy the view of the university whole drinking a glass of prosecco! I recommend the dry one!

Popped in while taking a stroll through the neighborhood. Sat in and had a salad, hot tea and pizza. Food was great. Service, too. Would recommend and return.

In house, great! Take away, not so much. I was bragging about this place to a few friends and I insisted they try it and bring pizza over one night. Now I live about 5 minutes away from the place, but by the time my friends made it to me the pizza was cold, soggy, and basically tasteless. So I’m giving this a hesitant 4 stars(3.5 if I could) because pizza, in my opinion, HAS to be good second day or cold… otherwise, what’a a broke college girl to do? But, the atmosphere in house and the fresh out of the oven taste is killer

I think De Pizzabakkers is one of the better pizza chains around Amsterdam. The location on the Haarlemmerstraat quite a few times but this is my first time to the Plantage location. The pizza though actually little better but maybe it was my mood at the time of consumption. Either way, it really hit the spot. I just got the pizza to go so I can’t say much about the service. Although the girls there were very happy and helpful. The place itself looks cozy so it might be a good place to go back for dinner.

Tasty food, convenient, good service. They serve wine and beer, although for the latter they only server Peroni, but one of our favorites. My goat cheese salad was excellent, and my spouse’s mixed green salad was very good. We each had a personal pizza, both also very good, but we took home half of our pies since it was more than enough food. Service was fast and congenial.

Yes it is a great lunch spot. I love their pizza size as I really hate waste or heat the left-over from normal table size ones, this suits me perfect. Great Staff. Drinks are boring, bring in apple carrot juice maybe!

Great service and friendly staff. Excellent Neapolitan pizza for Amsterdam, although the crust was a little too thin and well-done to be 5⁄5 stars in my opinion. Not sure the oven gets hot enough to produce sufficient crust blistering without over-cooking the pizza.

Tasty thin crust pizza. I will return for the food. The atmosphere was not that cosy, but still ok

Fortunately, I had a good service experience. It was to-go order though. It was beautiful outside, so I had a prosecco while I wait for my pizza order. I thought the prices were reasonable for italian style. I brought pizza home it was thin and delicious. not the best but very good, satisfying and close enough to home.

So to start off: the food here is definitely good. I had a delicious panini with mozzarella, prosciutto and tomato, and an adequate limencello cheesecake slice. However, the service was pretty crap, even by Amsterdam standards. When my dining companion and I first arrived, we dutifully stood by the«please wait to be seated sign» in full eyeshot of the waiters. However, they didn’t stop their conversation for about a minute before one of the waitresses came up to where we stood and asked if she could help us. We asked for a table and she pointed us upstairs. Then, after a few minutes, another waiter came up to take our orders before we had even been given menus. After we actually got the menus and ordered, we were served our dessert long before out entrees arrived. There was a bit of a wait for the food, but I don’t mind slow eating so I wasn’t bothered. To pay, I had to take the initiative to go downstairs and ask if I could pay. The food was good, and I think I would happily order out here, but I wouldn’t return for a sit down meal if only because of the service.
