i went in for breakfast and it was lovely. i had the farmer’s breakfast, with 2 sunny side up eggs on sourdough toast — perfect yolk and the bread was really good. also, it came with a super moist raisin scone, to die for. the jams and curds are amazing as well. totally recommend it! the atmosphere is nice and cozy, and the staff is also very nice.

I was hungry and it was after lunch time, but I didn’t want an entire meal, just a snack. I’ve seen various De Bakkerswinkels around but had not visited one until this one in Zuid.
The space looks really cozy and there’s a large table for multiple people to sit at. But as I said, I just popped in, so I went directly to the counter. I saw some macarons and another small pastry/​pie. I asked about them and ended up getting a blueberry macaron (yum!) and a mini lemon meringue pie (SUPER yum!) and left. The man at the counter was very nice and was happy to explain what each item was. If I lived in Zuid, I would probably spend way too much time at this spot!
