The first sales guys I first dealt with here were really nice but the treatment I eventually received is absurd. A friend had recommended Camper. I happened to go in during Sales and got a pair of 250EUR boots on sale. The guys were very nice and friendly. They told me about the 2-year warranty: in case anything goes wrong, take the shoes to any Camper store in the world, they’ll repair/replace. Great. A zipper broke with 6 months’ wear(and the soles wore out really fast). I took the boots back to Camper on Leidsestraat but they no longer did repairs so I called around Amsterdam to find a place. After much time wasted on my end, Camper told me they wouldn’t pay for the repair because it was too expensive(so much for the warranty). To make a long and awful experience into a short story, the Leidsestraat store and corporate sent me back to the Spui store to get a refund. The Spui store manager, an Italian woman with a major attitude problem, is the most insolent, obnoxious C. I couldn’t believe someone was being THAT rude to another person, especially to a customer. She basically concluded that I was lying to her about everything even though her colleague had just called the Leidsestraat store and confirmed what I was saying. She eventually proceeded to nearly hit me with a boot. I am not exaggerating. Corporate eventually sent me back to Spui and the sorry excuse for a person that is that Italian woman had to give me a refund. One funny thing about the whole thing is that I speak all the languages the sales people were using to talk«behind my back» right in front of me. I didn’t bother to tell them.
