Maybe it’s not the best bar in Amsterdam or the best location and view, but I enjoy the coziness of this bar. They have an excellent beer selection with a good variety and the service is very good. One of my personal favorites.

I almost don’t want to review this place, because I want to keep it a secret just for me and my pals. But, if you love beer, you should give it a try. It is a brown café, owned by a really nice former South African named Steve. He loves beer, and always has about 300 around, mostly Belgian. He has quite an array of «sour beers» which I had never heard of until I was there, and are quite interesting. The place has a nice feel, friendlier than some brown cafes, and if you can sit outside the view of the Ij is really nice. No food, just deep fried hopjes. Oh yeah, and they have the cutest bar cat ever. His name is Pete, and there is a really good chance if he is in house you will get to meet him.
