Café Internet Freeworld

New favorite spot in Amsterdam, right around the corner from the Renaissance hotel. Perfect zoner room.

Fairly priced and nothing pretentious about the place. You wanna smoke and not spend more than you should for quality… go here.

I really liked this place when I visited Amsterdam. I stayed at the Renaissance down the alley and it was really convenient location wise. Usually that can mean bad quality, service, or price. Not here, unless they have changed when I went in their best stuff was 12 a gram. For being a tourist in Amsterdam I wouldn’t consider that bad at all. I’m a medical patient in California and I smoke really good weed but this Tangerine Mango Haze I got was on par with everything I’ve had in CA I would honestly say. Very impressed, I expected the quality to be lacking but was pleasantly surprised. And on a side note I went to the really popular tourist strip to check out Barneys which I had heard of from magazines. Horrible idea, they where super overpriced like 60 and for a few grams or something ridiculous and on top of that the weed was garbage. I mean it wasn’t good, it would be something you could get for like $ 5 a gram almost anywhere on earth. Really bummed on that trip and ended up sticking with Freeworld my whole trip. The staff where cool and polite, as well as the other patrons. I would highly recommend them.

Preface: Freeworld is a great name for a coffeeshop because it’s name emphasizes freedom to choose, specifically to the category of what Freeworld sells. I think that is one of the reasons I went in. Smoking their «stuff» makes me more humorous, calm, relaxed and my eyes have a better focus, maybe that’s why the medical version is prescribed for those with glaucoma (well those who don’t abuse it anyway). Now working a job gives –some– people stress and sometimes makes me want to bang my head on the keyboard. I think that the freeworld acceptance should apply to what they sell rather than so much emphasis on work.
Review: Of course this coffeeshop sells by the gram just like all the others. But I came here for a quick smoke of White Widow before heading to bed. But for what they call themselves as an Internet Café, or was it their old name. Same place but I think it’s name is Freeworld Coffeeshop. That’s because there’s only one tiny computer in the back. Maybe, they provided wifi? They do serve coffee from a coffee machine and there are always people in here drinking and smoking. Anyway, it’s a coffeeshop. Is it one of a kind? Nope. It’s a little dark in here. The décor is of old wood painted up with service accessories here and there, perfect for what the establishment is. There’s less than a handful of stools and tables upfront where I couldn’t get a seat on my visit. And with that, you can have about 6 people hanging up front. I had to go in the back where there’s more seating inside a different room. There’s more room here for a group. The place has a decent view of the street upfront via the door and an okay view in the back. That’s pretty much it, an average medium sized coffeeshop to chill a little.

jaaaa… also vergleichsweise zu den anderen coffeeshops die ich besucht habe muss ich sagen das dieser coffee shop nicht gerade zu den besten zählt.sorry freeworld!!! es ist nett zu sitzen dort, aber die auswahl an weed– und haschsorten ist nicht die beste! wenn ich ehrlich bin bis auf das northern lights war die restliche auswahl fürn a****!sollte eigentlich wohl mal ein grenzcoffeeshop werden oder so! netter kleiner shop aber haben muss man ihn nicht! ich glaube ich bin auch nur darein weil unser, hotelzimmer” gegenüber im pup war und ich nur was zu rauchen haben wollte damit ich weiterschlafen konnte! jungs, verbessert euch! dann gibts auch mehr sterne!
