I know so many people including myself that have gotten Ill dining here on separate occasions. Nice for a drink but avoid the food, it’s like playing Russian Roulette with a 5 bullet revolver…

This is a very cute and tucked away little restaurant. Well… it’s actually on a busier street but it’s very tiny and easy to walk right by. Inside its charming and cozy. The staff has always been polite and warm(been here a few times). The pasta is great and always changing. Tonight I had pumpkin ravioli and it was delicious! My friend had pizza and said it was fabulous. We started with the olives(yum) and the bruschetta — which wasn’t my favorite — it was on a slice of bread rather than a baguette, a little flimsy and hard to eat but everything else was delicious! Can’t wait until I am back in Amsterdam so I can eat here again!

Sunday brunch with a nice décor and cozy atmosphere(excluding the lamps on the ground floor wall). I think the service would be better if they actually cared instead of just talking with their coworkers. There was a total of three waitresses in our area and it still took ages to get our order. The food was good which is why I’m not giving less stars.

Food was not good I had the spaghetti with mussels mini lobsters. It tasted like boxed spaghetti and three of the clams never evened opened and they served them to me anyway. The only bit of joy that came from this meal was when it turned into the«bar» while we were eating… the bar tenders hiked up the cheesy American music, started singing, dancing, and taking shots.

The lunch menu initially felt a little restricted however on arrival the food itself was pretty good. The goats’ cheese quesadilla was a standout dish. The pear and apple juice was also refreshing, which is just what was needed after our long walk round Amsterdam. It’s probably a really nice bar to sit in at night. I’m assuming it was the owner that noticed us trying to access the internet — thanks for telling us the wifi code. I heard«big…» and my partner heard«pig…» In the password which gave us a bit of a giggle afterwards!

A great place to enjoy lunch with some friends. Service is friendly, prompt and efficiënt. Food is great if you have no dietary issues. So unfortunate for me that I got stuck with only a bowl of soup, which meant I had to envy what everyone else was eating, but oh well that is life. I still would come back here again. I enjoyed the vibe in here.

This place happened to be around the corner from our apartment we were staying at and always had a lively bunch inside so we thought we’d try it out. I thought after finding out it was Italian it might be tricky for me to find something to eat(being lactose intolerant) but it was pretty easy! They offer a nice selection or meats and seafood on their menu. My mom and I were both kicking ourselves later for not getting the prawns because they looked super delicious! I thought the meal was worth the price, obviously if you get appetizers and drinks it can start to get a bit pricy but we really were enjoying the atmosphere and our serving was very friendly he even sat down on the bench next to my mom and was chatting with her about different parts of the menu. This place also has a less pretentious vibe to it and was a little more trendy and fun than some of the other bistros up the street that looked more traditional. The cocktails were very interesting too, I quite enjoyed mine.

Been there for drinks only. Dont recall too much about the service, it was packed. One thing I do Remember is the toilet is smelly.

Great for lunch, they have a variety of very large sandwiches. I had the steak sandwich and the meat was perfect. The server did not ask how I want my steak cooked. My co-workers had the croque-madame and a fish sandwich. All three sandwiches were simple but they looked good. There were no side dishes, a pickle, French fries or anything else so that was different.

Visiting the city with a colleague, we were luckily staying very close to Bar Moustache so it made choosing it quite easy. We read the review on our WGSN, Fashion Trend Forecasting City by City website and chose it based on their description. The place was packed, we were able to sit upstairs and have a great view over the rest of the place at the balcony. It was perfect for us, but on a date you should call for a reservation. The food was spectacular, but the waiter was horrible. We asked questions about portion size, if anything else came with the fish entrée and he said no it’s a very small piece of fish. So, we ordered a bunch of side dishes. Only to see when the entrée arrived, it had potatoes, and vegetables and a huge piece of fish, so we did not need the starter salad and extra vegetable side dish. Then when asking about the dessert, we wanted to split one and you could tell his face he was not recommending we split, saying it was very small and not enough to split. We stuck with our impression and ordered one and there was PLENTY of dessert to split! It tarnished our experience, definitely. In addition to not being helpful, he was very unfriendly, and honestly quite a bit of a pretentious jerk. Other than that, the restaurant and food were great.

The service was slow even by European standards, but the atmosphere was nice as was the wine.

One of my favorite bars. Local, different food, and great vibe. I’ve come for lunch and drinks with a group of girls. The staff is friendly and attentive yet they let you sit and chat(like most of Amsterdam).

Great spot for drinks or an apéritif in one of my favorite neighborhoods of Amsterdam. Nice selection of wine and nibbles. We shared a bottle of prosecco(or two) that was lovely! If you like nicer, slightly better quality wine than you get in most bars/cafes in Amsterdam, you’ll like this place. The staff are friendly and fun too!

At first glance, you’d think this place is an overly-trendy under-delivering trap. Nah, it’s pretty legit. Menu is fun and the trendy food is good, albeit a bit expensive. They even have a tiny bar where you can retire to after your meal. I just remember a rainy Thursday where a couple friends and I got accidentally drunk here after the bartender had a few too many Jäger’s with us. Danger.

We went there two nights in a row as it was so good. Very friendly staff, fantastic pasta & wine in an awesome atmosphere. Get the Mozarella balls for starters, they’ll melt on your tongue.
Very cool place ! Had dinner there last night for special charity event. So I didnt get to experience the food they cook usually; but the buffet we had was really nice. The chef was checking if we were enjoying the food and the service was good. The location is great, the interior design is nice, which makes the place very comfortable. Will definitely try to go there for lunch or dinner soon to try their menu.

My friend and I decided to stop at Bar Moustache on principle because of the name. The staff was nice and the WiFi was plentiful. I ordered the Croque Moustache and it was one of the more memorable sandwiches I’ve ever had. The salami had a good, salty flavor, the cheese was gooey and plentiful, and the greens added a good amount of flavor. My friend and I split our sandwiches and her Croque Madame was pretty tasty as well. They are large and hearty, so there’s no need for side dishes(they don’t come with sides anyway). It took a good 30 minutes for our food to come out and I wasn’t too happy about it given we only ordered a couple of sandwiches, but I was on vacation and the day had only begun, so I didn’t mind. It’s worth noting, though.
