English menu available upon request. This is a nice place to rest your paws and grab a bite. Service is good and coffees are great. It’s a chain but a European chain so its all good. Enjoy!

Great place for coffee in one of the busiest and most popular areas of the Pijp. I have to admit that I went to this place by default, as the one I had I mind was completely packed. What a lucky coincidence, as it is now my favourite spot there! Coffee was excellent, I had the slowly brewed filtered coffee and an energy shake and both were excellent. Something that caught my eye on the menu is that they offer high tea service, which is normally served in establishments aimed at people with deeper pockets that your usual Main Street café. I will definitely try this unique experience in a very near future.

I can’t believe I hadn’t walked into this place sooner — it was there all this time and I didn’t know about it, what a waste of time! it’s probably related to what it looks like from the outside: dark and a bit gloomy… but don’t let this first impression mislead you! once inside you will find: a very cute café, with brick walls, a fun blackboard, a long shelf full of books and magazine that you can look through in case you haven’t brought your own. A long leather bench and many small tables for you to choose from. A nice smile from the waitress. Nice smiles from the many delicious cakes looking at you from the display as well. The menu is sooooo appealing! for breakfast: oeufs en cocotte, scones, croissants, fruits with yogurt. for lunch: salads, sandwiches, panini, soups. for the end of the say: toastis, small bites, soups. everything is freshly homemade and most of it is organic. I had a veggie salad for lunch: I liked the fact that two pieces of a very good bread came with it. the portion was big. the salad itself was good, but not amazingly good, I think the dressing could be improved, it was a bit bland. Another time I had the Anne&Max breakfast: wow! super big(I was set for the entire day with that…), super tasty! perfect for a sunday brunch. the ingredients were good quality, the oeuf en cocotte was well prepared, and even the croissant was good. I still have to try their cakes! and their high tea formula is very tempting… Drinks: they have so much choice in that district as well! homemade ice teas and juices, delicious coffees and teas. really, there’s no way for you not to find anything you like. Service is very nice and friendly. Could be a bit more attentive I think though.
