Very pleased with my four night stay at this beautifully renovated resort. Service and dining are both top-notch, and the resort grounds are beautifully manicured. Would highly recommend to others.

Bad experience, after a long day of work my colleague and I went to the grocery store next door to buy a 6 pack of beer. When we returned to the hotel we were met by security guards saying that no alcohol may come inside, doesnt matter if we were to drink them in our room. We even offered to pay a percentage if need be of what the beer cost since im assuming they didn’t like that we weren’t going to drink at the bar. After they saw we didn’t eat at the restaurant,(we had been eating there for 2 weeks), and went to another one next door they apologized and told use to sneak it in. I don’t see a need for paying customers to sneak in beverages we have paid for, in a hotel we are paying for. All the time we were outside thinking of what to do with our beer the security guard kept stalking us, very uninviting.

We stayed at this hotel for a week. It is also the hotel we recommended to our guests for our Mexican wedding reception. We didn’t book as a group, but we booked about eight rooms total. Our rooms were in different areas of the hotel. Overall, we had a good stay and the rate(found on Expedia in advance) was wonderful. Here are some of the details; our room 1109 was nicely remodeled. It was comfortable and had a nice large bathroom. The overall size of the room was on the smaller size, but the location of the room was great. It was on the first floor, in the courtyard, close to the restaurant. The room was also close to the pool, but during our stay the pool was drained due to the construction. The lobby is being expanded. They were also remodeling a lot of the rooms. The construction work went around the clock. I personally wasn’t bothered by it, but some friends traveling with us complained about being woken up at night. Their room was in a different section of the hotel than our room. We also overheard other guest complaining about the noise to the front desk. The amenities at this hotel are nice. It is a business hotel and has great access to the periferico. There is always free hot coffee in the lobby. It seems they always have someone who speaks English working at the front desk. There is a gym and areas to work/meet. When the pool is refilled it will be great. Overall, the hotel is comfortable and attractive. The valet parking guys deserve to be mentioned; they were great. This hotel is on the north side of Mexico City. It is not in a tourist area. It is next to a large mall, Mundo E. There are many good restaurants nearby, and there are bars and nightclubs in the area. We ate at the hotel restaurant a few times throughout our stay. The breakfast buffet is extensive and good. I can recommend the breakfast buffet. The few items we had for dinner were also good, although priced a bit on the higher side. During our stay, most nights we met in the restaurant for a beer at the end of the day. I found the service in the restaurant to be good enough, they were helpful and knew some English. Some of our friends traveling with us thought the service was terrible. The restaurant service was not terrible. I have spent six months in this area of Mexico City and the service is just a bit different than what some U.S. travelers might expect. We ended up booking a room for a friend and my sister to stay in for the last two days of the trip. There weren’t any regular rooms available so they gave us a suite for the rate of a regular room at the walk-up rate. Their room wasn’t what I would call a true suite. It didn’t have a separate area to sit or a couch but it was a larger room. It hadn’t been remodeled yet, but they were happy with it. I recommend this hotel. I would stay here again. Overall, a great option for this part of the city.

This is a great hotel. Huge rooms, great location for me. You don’t hear the hustle and bustle of the 20+ million people outside. Really nice courtyard and AWESOME restaurant where I had the breakfast buffet. I am pretty picky and I highly recommend this place!!!
