Changos

Tried the beef (carne) nachos as an appetizer. Service took forever considering there wasn’t much customers in the place. We had to keep flagging down a different servers. The nachos were horrible. Semi melted cheese globs on GREASY chips. The meat was very fatty and most of it wasn’t edible. Maybe the food was ready earlier when it was hot but our server was super slow? I usually don’t rate based on service but I think it may have affected the quality of the food in this case.
We didn’t stay for a main dish. Drank our beers and searched for someplace else to eat. Very disappointed. Won’t return based on this negative first experience.

So delicious! So close to where we were staying. Everyone there so polite and nice and gracious. We had the tacos, filling and so cheap. We also had the nachos and shrimp quesadilla. So much food for 4 people. We also had drinks and they were cold and yummy. I would suggest if you are staying on Sandy Beach you come and check them out!

This was my first time at the new location. Changos used to inhabit the building where Bandito’s is. Restaurant was clean. Seating was available both outdoors and indoors, much larger than the old building.
The menu is seafood heavy (which one would expect in this location), however there are non-​seafood options. I had the shrimp sampler plate. It included bacon wrapped, fried, and grilled shrimp. All were good. The chicken burrito our non seafood eater had was large and good. The 6 year old had chicken strips which were good, but she ate half of my shrimp!
Has an outdoor cornhole game which kept the 6 year old busy in between cokes and dinner.

Great food. Food is fresh and very well prepared. Had the beef tacos which was a Happy Hour special. 30 pesos each which is $ 2. They were filling. They have all of the standard drinks you expect in a Mexican bar. A few of the bar staff have little grasp of English so be patient. They will take care of you
