This little local chain, burgeoning in numbers as of late, saw its humble beginnings in Jardines, previously bearing the name of El Fogoncito Suizo. A lot has changed since those early days, including a complete remodel of the place, but it still remains a solid option for tacos in Jardines, and everywhere else they’re present, really. The go-to dishes for this local eater are the Tacos de Chuleta, made with tortilla de harina and tasty melted cheese, along with a couple, or five, tacos al pastor. A great option, if you are feeling like proving your manhood, is the Alambre or the Pinguino, both huge plates with enough beef and pork to hyperbolically feed a family of four, and overflowing with enough melted cheese apt to meet your protein and vitamin D requirements for the day. Their newer Piña Colada, which is alcohol-free, is also very tasty and very reminiscent of the now defunct Piña Colada at Pollo Loco. Great place to try if your taco plans for Jardines are uncertain, unless you are not into restaurant-like taquerias. Otherwise, have at it my fellow eater!
