While tasty, the problem with this restaurant is that it’s never consistent. I’ve been here when the service was delightful(by Chiapan standards) and the food was quickly delivered; and I’ve also been here when we were mostly ignored and the food was forgettable. When this place is good you can expect a live band playing and a really joyful experience. The food is fresh and the seafood is delicious. The server smiles fairly often and is attentive in making sure your wine cup is filled. But when this place is bad. oh boy. Expect a good portion of the food to be unavailable(that includes beer and wine), the server will probably treat you like you kicked their puppy and the food that is around is usually forgettable. At least with almost every visit, I’ve been given one of the tastiest shrimp salads I have ever tasted for free. So your dining experience is really the luck of the draw and, I suspect, the season in which you visit.
