Ducked in on a rainy Sunday night with Jen to get our steak on and it was a fine time, here’s why: * Alberto was our waiter and he was a great server! * They bring cuts of meat tableside to facilitate easier ordering * Delicious Martinis! Great dinner, a massive salad, a dozen drinks and dessert for 2 was out of sight for under $ 40 American. Complimentary bread. Good stuff, Cabeza OUT!

Had a horrible meal here a couple of days ago. Service from the waitstaff was fine but the cook was just horrendous. I ordered sweetbreads and my friend ordered a well-done steak. The sweetbreads were served burnt with black ashes all over them, while my friend was told his steak would be out shortly. If you’ve ever eaten sweetbreads, they are no good cold, so i had to start eating. Finally they delivered his steak, barely cooked. He had to send it back. Don’t really understand how they could screw things up so badly. The place was not crowded.

Decent lunch place near the main downtown area. Had Argentinian steak and it was decent. Salad(named after the restaurant name) was local and different. Chimichuri sauce was a disappointment.

Earlier in the day I walked past during lunch time and it was full. So I expected it to be good because a lot of people means good food. Well it’s okay. I only gave it three stars because of the décor and drinks. Other than that not that great. I ordered the arrachera with French fries. The presentation was not that great just a piece of meat with fries. I was like okay the meat looks juicy and I ordered it medium rare. I could not cut the meat at all with the knife so I asked for another thinking it was dull. The meat was chewy something I hate. Felt like a cow eating a cow. I’ve had this before and the meat is soft and easy to cut. My mother order some soup which was good and the empanadas were good. The waiters were okay. Nice but a little slow when asked for the receipt. They rarely came back to check on us. When we told them the meat was not good. They seemed upset since they did not say anything about it. I would recommend this place for drinks and an appetizer. I don’t know if the other plates are good or not. Service was fast we ordered our food and it was out in about 10 minutes.

I’ll admit this is a somewhat biased review, as this is the first place I ever really had Argentinian arrachera. And I am obsessed with it. This is particulary noteworthy because I don’t even really like meat that much and I very rarely get excited about a big piece of meat. But arrachera at quebracho I love!!! The baked potatoes are also awesome… They are Huge and come with a creamy sauce. I don’t even want to know what’s in the sauce, because I’m sure it’s all types is sodium and fat, but my goodness is it good! There is nothing too notable about the ambiance of the restaurant or the drinks, but for a reliable steak and potatoes dinner I’d say it’s worth a visit.
