If you read nothing else about this restaurant read this: best wait staff, best atmosphere, best food in Mazatlan. Our first visit to Mazatlan(as a couple) we ended up eating at F.I.S.H. every night and came home raving about the great food and the great feel. So when we went back to Mazatlan last month as a family we were excited to share our favorite restaurant with our daughters. It was as big a hit with them as it was with us. Each of us found our favorite food, though we liked everything we ate. A few things to try: Shrimp burger, shrimp tacos, battered mahi quesadilla, oh and of course their margaritas(best in Mazatlan by the way!). For the kids their Jamaicada drink was a hit. Oh and if you are there on a weekend the great live music starts around 9PM on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I can’t speak highly enough about the wait staff and owners. They treat you like family, and go above and beyond to make you experience excellent. Everyone seems to enjoy working there as well, as we recognized and reconnected with a few of the same individuals a year and a half after our first visit. Overall we love F.I.S.H. and can’t wait to return. Thanks again to Sara, David, Armando, and the rest of the wonderful people at F.I.S.H. who made our last visit to Mazatlan that much better.

Can I give it 10 stars? I’m surprised that I’m only the second person to review this absolutely excellent restaurant in Mazatlán with the freshest seafood. The atmosphere is excellent with a very beachy coastal seafood shack feel with great outdoor and inside seating. The Owners Sara and Gabe are amazing and icons in the Mazatlán restaurant industry and it shows in how they run their business. The servers are excellent and always wanting to meet your every need. They often have live music during the week. Now on to the food. It is absolutely the bomb. We have eaten here several times over the last few years since they opened and I’ve been here four times just in the last week! I just keep returning because the food is so great. The prices are reasonable but the seafood is fresh, fresh, fresh. The clam chowder is the best you will have — anywhere! My new favorite is the shrimp tacos. The shrimp is so plump and juicy and flavourful. They also have aha tuna, fresh oysters and the best fish and chips and shrimp and chips. Try the Mix and Chips with a combination of shrimp, fish and oysters. Great! And they serve ice cold beer in a frosty mug. How does it get any better than that!!!

Some of the best fresh seafood I have had in recent years in Mazatlan. They bought and remodeled the old Mr. A’s restaurant. a wonderful atmosphere where you can dine inside or outside on a covered patio. Owned by an American from Phoenix who has lived and been in the Mazatlan restaurant business for years the food Is excellent. The playing was beautiful as You will see in my iPhone photo. now Onto the food… I ordered clam chowder which was out Of this world! A white cream sauce with hints of celery and finely slice potatoes with plenty of clams to chew on. It was served with fresh chips and salsa on the side which were not remarkable. my Main course was fresh grilled Mahi with a Tropical fruit relish on the side. The relish had mangos and dried cranberries in it. So Good I could have eaten a bowl full of it. The Mahi was cooked and seared to perfection. It just flaked when I put a fork to it. It was served on a bed of wild rice blend. The fish was so good I really can’t say a lot about the rice. Currently they have live music three nights a week. I walked by on a Thursday which is Reggae night and the place was packed. free wifi is also available if you ask. I Didn’t have dessert as I wanted to go next door to Rico’s for a Canela Latte. I look forward to coming here again on our next trip to Mazatlan.
