Came here today for a drink and a lunch. It is right on the beach so I sat with my feet in the sand listening to banda. I was the only one there but that’s not unusual for this time of year. I’m so glad I stopped. I ordered a Mai Tai which is now my new favorite drink. It is made with light rum, dark rum, orange liqueur, almond syrup and sugar and sour mix. It was delicious! Then I ordered some lunch. I chose the Bang Bang Shirmp. It is crispy fried shrimp with a sweet and spicy sauce on it. It was also delicious. The breading probably wasn’t my favorite but the shrimp was plump and flavorful and the sauce was the bomb! The serving was incredibly generous and I couldn’t finish even half of it. It was 110 pesos. The drink was 70 pesos. Service was very good and the waiter spoke good English. The menu was in Spanish and English. They have an interesting menu including Hawaiian Pig, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Marinated Octopus, Reggae Wrap, Cuban Sandwich, Braised Short Ribs. Beer is 20 pesos which is very reasonable as several places have risen their prices this year. It will be interesting to see how this place does once the season gets going. It’s worth checking out. Let me know what you think.
