Service — 5 Food — 0 View — 3 Value — 0 The view is OK; however they ruined it with lame artwork… It would look better with benches and arbors for people to sit and enjoy the ocean. It’s sad to see a bunch of metal crap laying around destroying what God made. I won’t go back, because it’s sad sight to see. The ocean is beautiful; however the railing is not safe, so be careful.

When on the island… You’re a tourist so act like one and go visit Templo Ixchel! Is there much to see? Hmmmm not really… Is it worth it? Well, just cross it off your list. You can park your golf kart or scooter just outside the entrance and when you walk in, just go all the way through and you’ll notice when to stop. It is indeed interesting to see and to hear the stories behind it. I did get the impression that eeeehm, not everything was as authentic as stated… After 30 minutes, you’re probably done seeing everything. Best thing: the view and the little terrace where you can order drinks, sit in the sun and enjoy the view!

There are a couple components to this area and park: a small area you can walk around in anytime, with a statue of the Godess Ixchel, a gigantic Iguana, and some othere busts of Mayan figures. Then, there is a restaurant and the sculpture garden and the temple ruins themselves, which are open during more normal business hours, and can be visited for $ 3USD or $ 30 Pesos. There are a couple of shops too, including one that has ice cream. If you are staying anywhere near Punta Sur, come watch the sunrise here at least once! The sculpture garden and Temple are also not to miss, but there isn’t much shade. I tend to go early or late in the day, when the sun isn’t as strong.
