Yet another deceptively simple looking white stand with black letters and a Coca-Cola logo that makes incredible fish tacos. What separated this one was both the crunchiness of the fish and the spiciness of the salsas… definitely a spot for the more heat-sensitive taco fan. So good.

Best fish tacos in the world. After eating, you’ll never want to eat at Rubio’s again. Order from the somewhat gruff ladies(only two choices– shrimp and fish) and prepare to be amazed. Pay after you eat.

Arguably the best fish tacos in Ensenada. I loved it. Even their salsa bar was great. In Ensenada, you get your fish taco without any accoutrement. You add your toppings such as cabbage, mayonnaise and fresh salsa. For $ 1 for each taco, I could have easily had more than 1, maybe 5! Oh yeah, and their vanilla horchata? The best horchata style I have ever had.

By far the best fish and shrimp tacos I’ve ever had, and you can tell that the locals love it too because it’s always packed. The prices are extremely reasonable and the service is efficient. You pay after you’re done eating. This place will definitely be my go to spot every time I go back to Ensenada!

My friends and I stopped by this taco stand as some local people recommended. There were a herd of local people eating tacos around the stand. It was a great sign. I ate Fish and Shrimp Tacos. Both of them were freshly made and crunchy — very tasty! There are limited seating space, but it brings some excitement to eat with local people in the way they eat(which means by standing). Fish Taco 17 pesos Camaron(Shrimp) Taco 19 pesos After eating at this place, all of us agreed that it is better to have Fish Tacos than the line of the restaurants in Mercado Negra de Mariscos on the waterfront. I would recommend this location for the visitors who have some time in Ensenada. It is a bit off the typical tourist area, but it is worthy to visit and look around the more regular local scenes. Great find! The signboard stated that this eatery started in 1970. Wow, this place is older than I am.

Batter ‘em! Fry ‘em! Eat ‘em! Eat LOTS of them because they are only $ 1 a piece! Don’t even think twice. Make this your first stop in Ensenada and chow down. I loved both the fish and shrimp equally. Get one of each. They are ridiculous! Yes, the green salsa is hot, but very tasty. Give it a try and enjoy!

This amazing taqueria was definitely the highlight of my trip to Ensenada, with amazing fish tacos along with shrimp tacos for around 15 pesos each this place cannot be missed. One morning however, stay away from the red hot spicy salsa.

Personally; i have been comming to this place since the early 70’s. yes 1970’s still there, still the Original fish taco! How do you rate one of the fathers of the infamouse fish taco? there isn’t enough stars on this thing. the honor system still the same, you put you hand out, a fish taco lands on it, keep doing that until your full. Then go up to the lady and tell her how much you stuffed your face, she will give you a price. Good luck!

This review is being dedicated to Ricky of «RFT» in LOSANGELES… this is how it’s done! Fish tacos are available all throughout the Baja peninsula, from Baja Norte — Tijuana to Baja Sur — Cabo, but Ensenada is considered the birthplace of these baja style fish tacos as popular belief is that Japanese fishermen brought tempura technique to Baja many years ago! You’ll find Fish and Shrimp tacos in Ensenada all over the place but like Ricky not all do it well, if you’re a Gabacho you might not ever give this ugly shack a look a view from the street side, yeah it’s not pretty but never judge a book by it cover! Tacos de Pescado y Camaron — Fish & Shrimp tacos is ALL they do and the do it well you’ll find the ladies dipping nice sized pieces of white fish and shrimp in their signature top secret batter then tossed in a steel comal of lard, YES Pork Fat Rules! don’t worry ladies this is low-cal pork fat =O This shack is always busy yet they have NO waiting, just tell the nice ladies how many fish or shrimp tacos you’d like and she’s place them in a nice warm corn tortilla for you, although they do not make their own tortillas they are sourced from a local tortilleria. **Tacos are ordered on the HONOR system in Mexico which means you pay after you finish eating, so if you plan on eating like four tacos NO need to order all at once so you have less to hold, and tacos won’t be getting cold just sitting there. Condiments/Toppings — is all self service… Limones, Repollo, Rabano, Crema, Pico de Gallo, Salsa Roja y Verde put on as much or as little as you wish and ENJOY! Pancho’s pick for BESTBAJASTYLEFISH&SHRIMPTACOS Don’t quote me but IF me memory is correct as of March/2014 Pescado/Fish — $ 14 pesos Camaron/Shrimp — $ 20 pesos «Don’t forget to TIP your Taquero»
