Moon Palace

Overall our stay was positive. There are a few excellent restaurants (all are Mexican) but most are just average. The buffets are subpar in regards to the quality, taste, and freshness. Don’t even think about room service. The food will take 1 – 3 hours and will be disgusting.
The pools are kid-​friendly. We spent quite a bit of time in the Nizuc pool with the water slide. The staff at the kid’s center near this pool is excellent, although we never left our kids there unattended (it was sad seeing the same kid during both our morning and late afternoon visit one day).
If you don’t like bugs, don’t visit around the rainy time of year. Huge bugs would be waiting outside our room and all over the walkways.
Research the resort credit issue before booking – there are extreme limitations on what you can use with the credit and there are always «fees/​taxes» applied which come out of your pocket. One limitation: you can only visit the spa twice per room using the resort credit.
As everyone here has stated, the beaches are not ideal. We did go swimming in the ocean once but it was not pleasant. There is a ton of seaweed so it feels like something is always touching your legs and feet in the murky water. Combine that with the stingray warning posted and it is even more disturbing.
Checkin was horrendous. We arrived early (7am) and we were well aware that we would have to wait. We were promised a room at noon. Then we were told it would be another hour, so on and so forth until their official checkin time of 3pm rolled around. They still didn’t have the room ready! We had been waiting for 8 hours at this point with a 2 and 6-​year-​old. At that point I expressed my frustration. It took another 30 minutes to get our keys. Discovering that the resort was only at 60% capacity during our stay made me very annoyed at how it took so long to have a room ready on time.
We used the laundry service and one article of clothing was still dirty. Seems like they just ironed it and sprayed some fragrance.
Overall value for the money was good. We paid $ 4800 for 2 adults and 2 children including airfare from SFO and hotel transfer for 6 nights in a partial ocean view room. We booked through Costco. I would visit again but only if the pricing remained at this level.

The check-​in staff will not listen to your need unless they get tipped. They will make empty promises if they don’t get tipped. The concierge staff were just con artists. They try to sell you all the services outside of the resort for their own gain. I try to reserve services within the resort but the event planners told me none of the services were available because they were all booked without checking on their computer. So I got mad and complained to the management and got me booked into the activities I wanted
If you feel like you are being pushed around by the check-​in and the concierge staff talk to the management and they will address with the staff.
The staff providing service work hard so they deserve tips but the check-​in and concierge staff do not deserve tip.

I have no idea why so many people give this place 1 – 3 stars check trip advisor on there it’s a 4 ½ star resort … Okay 1^st people UNDERSTAND that other people ALL OVER THE WORLD come here so yes there might be not enough Mexican food or same divan food but think they have to try to make everyone happy and that’s hard to do … So with that said the food here is amazing for the situation… Now I’m a member so I’ve never had any trouble with bookings or rooms everything is perfect and I like walking because it gives me a reason to eat more lol … If you want a gorgeous beach stay at the beach palace otherwise this beach is nice
Overall the moon palace is amazing and they are setting up more palaces for Jamaica and Cabo San Lucas so excited to try those

First time at Moon Palace Resort in Cancun. However not the first time at a resort in Mexico. I’ve been to Cabo, Puerto Vallarta, and stay in resort such as Riu Palace and etcs., but this is by far the not so nice resort I’ve stay. We stay at the Nizuc and there are two other site a part of this resort called Sunrise and Grand. Sunrise is much bigger, but way too busy and therefore the customer service is not there as much especially with the people at the front line (front desk, front of restaurant, people at lobby, etcs). The place is way too big. It is inconvenient for to access pool area and restaurants. I do have to give them a thumb ups for restaurant availability. There are many selection. Foods taste average compare to other resort. Overall, this is my first time here and probably my last. There are too many choices out there and better service resort that I don’t need to come back to this one. Would I recommend this place, not so sure.

Hi-​ya!
Ok the moon palace is an all inclusive Cancun resort. The place has pretty much anything you can think of. Our visit there had a lot of great things with some good and a lot of «Okay».
Don’t be fooled at the airport into buying timeshares/​memberships – just find your transportation and get on. When we first got to Nizuk we were provided cold towels to cool off with. We were ushered to a greeting agent that provided cold drinks and helped register out stay. It was kind of awkward, but that is the way at the resort… people have very compartmentalized jobs and then when their job is done they send you to another.
After registration we got setup with the excursion credit and later the tour specialists… after that everything was a seamless flow of gluttony and drinking! We later transferred to the Sunrise hotel sections, at a friends advice, but to be honest I liked the Nizuk best. It had the best food selections and the pools setup was better there. Each area had its strengths, but I liked Nizuk best.
Moon palace is meant for families and while we came as a couple it was good. The food is all OK, and what I mean is that they have a bit of everything, but specialize in none… with the exception of Mexican food. Which is really great there. Most of the restaurants are casual dining, but some require at least a shirt with sleeves… can’t go topless or with a tank top everywhere… but they all are unlimited food and drink.
I feel like they bars and restaurants are a little soft on the drinks… like they a little lift on the alcohol, but again it’s unlimited so just order shots or as many as you like. Your mission will be accomplished if you plan to get buzzed or drunk.
Room accommodations were on point. Our room had everything we could want. Unlimited liquor bar – mini bar, room services, jacuzzi… etc.
The pools at Moon are very nice and it’s not that bad to find pool chairs as some may suggest. Bars everywhere and they have the flow rider (surf board simulation) and a water slide, table tennis and a bunch of games and entertainment (i.e. The Michael Jackson experience).
Find your own comfort level with tipping and you will enjoy the resort. I would definitely come back and the only reason I say 4 stars is because of the beach. The beach at this resort is serviced daily to remove the seaweed there is an amazing amount removed daily so visit the other resorts for beach play. There is a lot more to say, but just covering pools, service, overall good and stay – 4 stars!

I went on vacation to the Moon Palace 2 times and have suggested this resort to everyone I know who are looking to go to Cancun.
The Moon Palace is perfect for families. They have a swim up bar, a swing bar, and inside bar. The main pool has games all day for kids and adults. Once we stayed there they have a pool party with a DJ in the pool it was awesome.
The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They even started to remember what drinks we would want before we ordered.
We swam with the dolphins in the ocean, visited the spa, and the golf course all which were amazing.
The Italian restaurant is better than some italian restaurants I’d been in in America which is unreal. The hibachi is great. No food complaints what so ever, just make reservations in advance.
The only problem with moon palace is the rocky beach but their is a bus that takes you to the beach palace which everyone NEEDS to do everything is all inclusive there as well. The beach is beautiful and the top floor of the resort has a beautiful pool and bar and it’s awesome.
Everyone, all ages, will enjoy this resort!

I had a great time staying here. The employees were all incredibly friendly and accommodating. As an all-​inclusive, nothing here made me happier than the food. Steak and pork chops were cooked to order all day long. If you wanted tacos, you could have tacos. If you wanted fish, there was fish. Food was never an issue, and I actually gained five pounds. As far as pools go, the ones here were pretty nice. Some were better than others, but there are enough pools that they were never exceedingly crowded.
As far as negatives go, I have two main issues. The first involves the beaches. If you want to have a beach vacation on the beach, don’t come here. The beach is somewhat disgusting in parts and we were never allowed to go into the actual ocean. The water here wasn’t that great either. The other issues involves the size of the beds. I’ve been to a lot of hotels with a lot of tiny beds, but these beds were smaller than any I’ve used before. Two people (thin people) can barely lie down without touching.

First day
A friend is getting married and this was his chosen hotel. As first I was very apprehensive about paying $ 600 a night price tag but so far it has been worth it. This is my first night here and I am not a stranger to all inclusive hotels but they have exceeded my expectations and their attention to service is second to none. My kids are having a blast and are settled in right. The waiters are attentive and very friendly. So far so good. Did I mention that the presentation of dinner and the plating is well deserving of a standing ovation.
I am about to check out and my wife and I are talking about the excellent customer service we received here. This is the biggest resort the we have been to and requires transportation to go around or a 10 – 15 walk if you are up to it. Transportation is provided every 10 – 15 mins and there are also gold carts for your use.
I came with my wife and two teenage boys for a friends wedding. Moon Palace exceeded all our expectation and the customer service here at an all inclusive resort is the best I have received in my life. Moon palace is on the pricey side but worth every penny.
I can’t wait to return.

Anyways I am going to start off with the few flaws that this resort has.
Flaws: Not a pretty beach. Seaweed everywhere in the water and beach. Not that many Mexican dishes (Like most all inclusive resorts in mexico)
Okay with the water being all gross their is still a patch of light blue water. It is actuality quite fun to walk to the light blue water. Note that most days the water safety flag in red or yellow, but mostly it is okay to go to the light blue water.
Now on to the pros!
Pros: Awesome and friendly staff, super fast room service, 24 hour room service, 24 hour turn-​down service, free calls to the United Stated of America, Canada, and Mexico, great and free wifi any where in the resort, offers a 1500 resort credit to be used on trips to places like Xel-​Ha, items in the shop (16% tax on items), and much more.

Service is outstanding, room comfy, cozy and clean, food above average for resort this large, pool area wonderful! Since my husband and I arrived just 3 days ago the service has been outstanding. Everyone is so helpful in answering questions and saying hello. We have a ocean front deluxe room in Nizuc and it is fabulous. The views are amazing.
Food for a resort this large has been exceptionally tasty. Yes, there are the few items (some sort of Mexican sausage, yuck) that were not my favs but otherwise food is good and we’ve had full stomachs every time we leave.
This is only 3 days in… And I don’t have a bad thing to say! Raul Rodriguez in the pool area has been our server for 2 days now. So nice and polite… Takes time to talk to you and laugh. See picture so you know is face. Find him because he will be great and check in often!
No questions asked, we will be back to this resort for sure.

My husband and I visited Moon Palace for our honeymoon in August, 2014. I booked an ocean view room with a balcony. It was my husband’s first trip to Mexico and I wanted him to see as much of the view as possible. However, when we arrived at Moon Palace, they changed our reservation and said they «upgraded» us to a room on the golf course, which requires a long drive on a golf cart to access it. We tried to explain we did not want a room on the golf course, we wanted to be in the hotel itself. We were not there to golf. We were there to have a relaxing honeymoon near the pools, restaurants, and bars.
They would not give us the room we booked. They drove us on a golf cart to our «villa» and left us there. They said they would bring us our own golf cart to drive back and forth (while we were still asking repeatedly for a room in the hotel like we booked.) They did not bring a golf cart. We were in the villa alone waiting for someone to come get us for almost an hour. The room had no view at all, which was specifically what I booked. A view! The room had a slider that opened onto a dirt patch near the golf road. The sliding door also did not lock. The lock appeared to have been broken into and would not function. We absolutely were not going to spend our honeymoon in a secluded villa with no locking door. We were very upset.
It was a huge disappointment to start off our honeymoon. When they finally did come get us and bring us back, they were not happy to do so. We returned to the front desk, they put us in a ground floor room. We were told it was all they had, so we took it just to get on with our vacation. The room had a view onto the miniature golf course, but it was better than being trapped on the golf course, so we told them we would stay there until they found us the room we actually booked. They NEVER found us the room we booked. We stayed in that room the entire week.
Our room had an adjoining door into another room. The guests in the adjoining room had at least one young baby who they left in their room at night while they went out. This baby (and possibly a second small child – there was a LOT of screaming) cried and screamed all night long. I know this was not an adults only resort, and we expected the noise of children, but these children were screaming all night long. We stuffed the adjoining doorway with our pillows to try to sleep. We contacted security and the front desk about the abandoned children, and heard them knock on the door next door once, but nothing was done. There were no adult voices on any of the nights, only the children. This was allowed to happen, even though the security and front desk knew about it.
We still were not moved to the room we actually booked and paid for.
This was my second stay at a Palace resort, and I returned because my first stay at the former Vallarta Palace was so great. I will NEVER return to a Palace resort EVER again. We received no compensation and no apologies. It was disgraceful.

I really enjoyed my 3 night stay at Moon Palace’s Sunrise section in January 2016, but mostly due to the company I was with and the activities we participated in. Moon Palace is close to deserving 4 stars but ultimately it lacked in a couple really important areas (mostly the beach).
PROs:
*Good food for an all-​inclusive — I’ve been to two others and the food here was definitely better quality. The room service menu was extensive. In the Sunrise section, right before you exit the lobby area for the beach, there’s a café that offers ice cream and delicious customized Nutella crepes!
*Almost no bugs in sight
*Whirlpool tub (apparently it’s in every room)
*Interior/​architecture is really impressive — e.g. ceiling on 2^nd floor was absolutely beautiful
*Wifi worked well, especially from the rooms
*Hammock on the balcony was very cute
CONs:
*Beach water is murky — looks muddy. Very few people actually went in and swam. Unfortunately no gorgeous turquoise beach accessible here (it’s deeper in)
*Spa near the golf course was disappointing though the beautician was very sweet. I had a facial and broke out badly on my chin 2 nights later with 20 tiny pimples — I’ve had a facial once before and this didn’t happen to me then. I acknowledge it’s possible the break out was due to other factors.
Also, a couple friends had a seaweed wrap and said it was going great until the end when a cold cream was applied on them, which eventually became colder and colder until it almost felt like a freezing burn. One of them was shivering so hard, she was put into a sauna to warm up!
*Small washroom for a room with 2 beds
*Bedsheets/​quilts not always clean… saw some red spots on my quilt and on my roommate’s bedsheet *shudder*
I arrived at check-​in time of 3pm, but my room was not ready. After coming back two times, we finally got a room at 4:45pm. The day of my departure, I asked for late check-​out as a compensation for the delay and was given an extra 1.5 hours. So if your check-​in time gets delayed, ensure you ask for late check-​out if you need it!

I’m well we are here now. Had a RSVP and all and then they tell us we are super booked and we can upgrade you to La Blanc. We would go but we have family in other rooms so it’s best to stay here. We get a room, but it has double beds… so I feel like I have a roomie hostess of a wifey. But damn, best sleep I have gotten in ages lol.
Food is available everywhere but is nothing special. Yes we are a bit spoiled as we see some crazy things in L.A., but we always 3,300 for this week vacation, so we be expecting something too.
This moon palace is like a city. We are at the Grand which is OK but sunrise section is way better. Been here two days now… will let you know more if things get better or worse.

Part of a chain — the” palace resorts “. The hotel has sister properties all around the mayan corridor ! And as a palace guest — you are free to explore drink & even dine at other palace properties during your stay. This can be a nice perk on day trips &excursions. Also all palce roooms have in room or balcony spa tubs. Every room! That alone brings me back to Palace Resorts time and again. The Playadel carmen Palace is my favorite as i like to go «off property «.
Moon and Sun Palace is better for those that want to stay «on property». The grounds are very isolated geographicly. Not good for day trips to other spots. On the other hand, the double (triple?)complex is a huge city all by itself. 7 restraunts to choose from, and some of those change their identy betweeen morning & evening ! Call brand liquors and good beers — but you have to ask for the «good stuff».#1 tip? Bring a lidded insulated drinking mug with a carribiner on the handel !!! Trust me! Drinking swings, hammoks & cannopied outdoor beds encourage lounging. Lots of pools and a huge golf course. speaking of golf … Golf carts are king here ! Huge walking distances between venues combined with leg-​humping humidity, nessesitate a golf cart shuttle system. While other disgrutled people cued up for «their ride» we flug up our hands and flagged them down NY style —

We stayed in the Sunrise section and it was okay. There is different parts of «Sunrise» the area we stayed in was not that good. Where we stayed there was 3 buildings. We stayed in the last building. It was such along walk go anywhere. To the lobby to resturants and even to the pool. Are rooms where amazing! They had a jacuzzi and really nice shower and comterable beds. I give this part of the hotel 3 stars out of 5 being the best and 1 being the worst.
Costumer service:
the costumer service was absolutely amazing! any where u go between the walk up bars in the pool, waiters anyone who worked there was absolutely nice and sweet:) I give the costumer service 5 stars out of 5 stars.
pool and beach:
the pool was so clean big and nice. they had walk up bars (milk shakes are very yummy for children) and had lots of wine and beer for the adults. the had open chairs everywhere and there was shady spots and sunny spots! they even have a special little area for little kids with like water slide and fun activity :) the beach was really gross. I come from NY and I don’t have an ocean near me. so whenever there is a beach near me I go for it! but at this resort (well at least at sunrise) you could not swim in the ocean/​bay. it was way to seeweady. even the sand was. they had tractors to keep it cleaned but it would not stay clean for awhile. but it was really blue! I give this part of the hotel a ³⁄₅ stars.
The food was very delicious! it’s welcoming and such a nice staff and very close to the airport! be sure to message me if you have any questions!
so that concludes my trip here at moon palace. it is a very beautiful place to stay:) I would definitely recommend it for the people who like the pools. But for the people who like the Ocean this is not the place.

This is a tough review, because I feel we had an experience very different from most guests.
The airport pickup was easy and clear. The checkin process at Sunrise took FOREVER. Then they said that they were sold out and were «upgrading» us to the golf villas, way far in the back, far from the beach. I was very ticked, that didn’t sound like an upgrade.
Once we got there we saw it was! We had a suite with a balcony, sitting room, bedroom, and tub in the room. The Golf Villas were very private. The best part was we got our own Golf Cart! We had a blast on that thing, tearing around the roads, golf carts and open bars are a dangerous mix folks. The golf villas were far from Nizuc and Sunrise, but close to the Spa, Club House, and the good mexican restaurant. The key thing is the Good Mexican Restaurant (GMR) was open for breakfast and lunch. There was a pool right there too that very few people found. So basically we spent all our time there, and almost none at Sunrise or Nizuc. That portion of the hotel is awesome.
I liked the bugambillas restaurant at Sunrise. I think the shows were fun, they tried really hard.
But the rest of the restaurants were pretty boring.
The main pool was cool with all the swim up bars and walkways, but was very happy to have our quiet pool by the golf villas.
I was dissapointed with the beach. I knew ahead of time it wasn’t going to be great, but it was really pretty ugly.
The wave-​rider thing was a lot of fun, but a law suit waiting to happen. I nearly broke my neck twice (but had a great time doing it).

I could not be happier with Moon Palace Lobby sunrise
The staff was super friendly and did everything they could to make your stay perfect. They truly treat you like family, food and entertainment was perfect, the pools and amenities were exquisite. Dancing Chef Ernesto stole my heart at the Sunrise pool.

I went on vacation to cancun over summer so this review is a little overdo. Moon Palace is one of the Palace resorts in cancun. There is also sun palace and beach palace located more downtown with the other hotels. Moon palace is more isolated and is much bigger since it features Grand and Nizuc hotels. Like many of the resorts in cancun, moon palace is all inclusive. Basically free unlimited everything– even food and alcohol. You just wear your wristband the entire time.
There are a lot of dining options within moon palace. But if you want to eat at Grand or Nizuc, you just take a shuttle. Restaurants vary from poolside barbecue, Brazilian steaks, Asian, etc. My favorite restaurant to eat was called Baracuda. It served as a barbecue location in the daytime while it is poolside, and at night it was an American steakhouse. My other favorite was Riviera Maya, which was a more formal Mexican restaurant located at the golf course.
Room service is also included and we also made use of that service. While few restaurants were good, the majority of the food was edible. There was nothing that special but I understand they sacrifice quality for quantity for everything being unlimited.
There’s a huge main pool that connects to a swim up bar but this is mostly crowded with mid 20 year olds and reminds me of a Vegas day club. There is also a bar outside that has swings! It was so much fun to sit there and drink.
There’s activities and shows every day, but my absolute favorite thing about the entire trip was releasing bang turtles into the ocean! It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
You also have a $ 1500 resort credit. This can be applied to activities or shopping, you basically use the resort credit to pay for whatever you like, however you pay the tax for that item out of pocket. Because of this, many of the items are ridiculously overpriced.
One thing I also didn’t like was the fact that the beach was just plain ugly. The turquoise waters cancun is known for is located more downtown where the other hotels are. Moon palace’s beach was filled with seaweed and the water looked so murky. I didn’t even go into the beach once.
Overall, good resort but I wouldn’t return. There are plenty of other all inclusive resorts downtown with a much better beach.

The resort was HUGE! We stayed in the villa and were provided a golf cart to get to the other buildings –the Sunrise, the Grand and the Nizuc. This made it very convenient for us to get around whenever we wanted without having to wait for their bus to transport us around. While the villa do not have restaurants or pools within walking distance, the golf cart was easy to use and was only a comfortable 5 – 7 minute drive to any of the other locations. Occasionally, we spotted iguanas crossing the road — none were injured while we were on the road. It was very peaceful at night. Our room had a hot tub in it — we enjoyed taking bubble baths using their CHI products. And they have 7 types of pillows!!! 7! Of course we had to ask them to bring some for us to try!
The restaurants — Standouts include: Brazilian Steakhouse (at least 1 hour wait, first come-​first serve, 8 different types of meat to try), Los Tacos (outdoor @ the Grand, small), Los Caporales (Nizuc, amazing ceviche, about an hour wait). Breakfast buffets were decent — pretty much the same at any of the restaurants.
Pools — Grand: smaller than the other two and much more peaceful. Only saw a couple kids.
Sunrise: lots of fun slides for the kids, swim up bars, lots of chairs
Nizuc: need to have more towels in stock — how can they run out?
Entertainment: Free nightly entertainment at the Sunrise & the Nizuc.
Friendly staff, check-​in/​check-​out was easy, didn’t like the long lines at the restaurants though. My suggestion would be to allow reservation at these restaurants or hire more staff! Kudos to the staff who can deal with stress with the number of people that come here!

I can’t believe all the low reviews this hotel is getting, because everything these people are saying is the opposite of my experience here.
Everyone treats you like family here. They help you with your needs and try to make your stay as relaxing as it can be. When we got into our hotel, our safe was broken. When we called the front desk to request someone to fix our safe, it only took ten minutes for the guy to come and fix our safe. He was our hero of the day! They also love to make conversation and get to know about you, which shows that they care for their guests. I spent a lot of time talking to the staff during this trip.
The $ 1500 resort credit is a huge plus. This gives you the opportunity to use their spa for massages, facials, haircuts, and mani-​pedis, and to also go on the tours offered. There’s a facility where you get to plan out your entire trip. The staff is great at explaining each tour and talking about the benefits of each tour you take.
A second plus is the amount of amenities offered. From a HUGE swimming pool and gym, to a teen club and spa, there are a huge amount of things to do. Being a teenager, I’m usually bored at hotels because they have nothing but a couple of restaurants and a pool. However, this hotel stands out from the rest because they offer an immense amount of activities that range from kids who are young to those old grandparents who find it hard to have fun on a vacation.
Another plus is the amount of restaurants they have. It’s ALL INCLUSIVE which means ALL YOU CAN EAT FOOD, which is always a good time! You can’t go wrong because they go big on variety. Caribbean, Mexican, Italian, Chinese; name it and they’ll have it! Out of all the restaurants, I would recommend Bugambillas. They have 3 great buffets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner but breakfast is the best. The omelettes are cooked to perfection, the pastries are warm and crispy, and the meats are packed with flavor. Shoutout to MISAEL! This dude works hard at his job, whipping out 10 – 20 waffles a minute for the guests in the breakfast buffet. To see him under pressure because he had to cook all these waffles, but to have the ability to still keep a smile and a fast pace is great! He deserves a lot of recognition and tips because it’s not an easy job. I commend him 100%.
Overall, this hotel is great. One of the best hotels I’ve ever been too. However, if I could fix one thing, I would choose the beach. The water in the beach is very murky. If the water was clean, this resort would be taken to the next level. They would have a lot more people coming to this hotel. But besides that, you won’t be disappointed. The service, food, and amenities here are unlike any other hotel!

Moon Palace was our first all-​inclusive, and we went there for a wedding. I’m fairly certain that we wouldn’t have been able to afford it without the wedding rate. but I would probably go back.
Moon Palace is off the strip, and we really liked that. It felt more relaxing and less party all the time. It’s literally an actual Palace! It’s so big that you have to use shuttles and golf carts to get around. They come by every 10 – 15 minutes, and were very reliable. If you have an event to go to in another building, you can dial the front desk, and they’ll actually come pick you up from your room.
There are three buildings, and we stayed in Sunrise, which is the biggest. Our room was standard sized, and came with a big whirlpool tub and bubbles. It did take about 20 minutes to fill up, but that’s because it was so big. We also had a nice, enclosed balcony. One thing that I didn’t like was all of the bugs, but being realistic here and knowing that they are basically in a jungle, I tried not to get aggravated. They clearly sprayed the rooms, because the bugs wouldn’t last long, and they were small bugs, not gross creepy crawlies. Other than that issue, the room was fine. One other complaint that I have is that when room service comes around in their carts in the morning for breakfast, it was LOUD! Every single morning we were woken up by them on their rattling golf carts. Eventually I slept with ear plugs in, and that helped.
So, we all know it’s all-​inclusive by now, and I don’t need to get into what that entails. The mini bar was well stocked with plenty of soda, beer, and mixers. The liquor dispensers consisted of Vodka, Rum, Tequila, and Scotch/​Whiskey blend. Nothing I’d consider top shelf, but all very good liquors nonetheless. The food was really hit or miss. I feel like I ate the same food all week, just at different places. It was just your typical hotel food, and typical room service food. Nothing to get excited about, but certainly edible, and some of it was really great. My husband loved the sushi at Momo, so if you like sushi, I’d recommend that.
If you stay for a certain number of days, you get resort credits. We had $ 1500 for staying for 5 nights. You can use them on certain things, but you will have to pay a 16% tax on it — which in the end, is usually cheaper than what you would have paid on your own. It wasn’t an issue for us — we were happy to use what we did and receive basically discounted prices. You can also use $ 300 of them at the spa, where we received one of the best massages ever.
The pool was HUGE. We had no issue getting chairs or towels. Pool service is very spotty, so we made sure to position ourselves near a bar for easy access. All of the bar drinks that we had were very tasty and very boozy. Again, bar food wasn’t spectacular, but wasn’t bad either. The beach wasn’t great, but we knew this going into the trip, and were prepared to shuttle over to Beach Palace, but we were just super content by the pool honestly. They have some chairs and cabanas out by the beach, but it’s for VIP level members.
As far as the wedding events — they were fantastic! The rooms were gorgeous, and I don’t even want to think about how much any of it cost!
I would probably go back to Moon Palace, despite all of its average-​ness, because it was quiet and very relaxing. It was really great to be on a REAL vacation and not have to worry about money or tipping or anything.
