I’m giving 4 just because the flies and bees were freaking crazy. We ate here for dinner first and we had the small lobster and ribeye and both were absolutely fabulous. Just melted in your mouth. It was $ 35us each and we also had water not knowing that it was $ 8 for a bottle. We assumed it came with dinner and the drinks we ordered. Cost us just over $ 100us for dinner for 2, 1 drunk each and water. The next morning we went back for breakfast with our son because we heard they have $ 5 breakfasts. Mine was good but my son said the waffles were just okay and the flies and bees were all over our food. It was crazy. The complimentary bread was delish. They are located right next to sirena del Mar.

We were really looking forward for our first meal after our flight into Cabo to be amazing. We were left disappointed and decided to not take our chances on a second visit. It is a shame because this place has amazing views and the décor is something to appreciate. When we arrived, we were greeted immediately and it seemed we were in for a great experience. We were wrong. We waited about 30 minutes to receive our drinks(the restaurant was not busy at this time), the margaritas and piña coladas are not good. I hate to say it, but they are terrible. Stay away. Needless to say our food took a very long time to arrive but the food was pretty good. I had the chicken enchiladas and was very pleased with the dish. I cannot remember what others in my group ordered but I do remember we were all happy with the food. Keep in mind that the food and drinks are on the expensive side and you’re taking a gamble on the taste. One thing to note is that in Mexico, you are not given the bill after the food is delivered, you have to ask for it. I also want to point out that the staff was very friendly, we just didn’t expect this to be a 2+hours experience with just an OK outcome. I think if you’re not a rush and want to capture some photos, this place is for you. However, if you want quality drinks and a great dinning experience, look into something closer to the marina.

My goodness, the music was good, but the food was mediocre and the place is HOT with no A/C! But worst of all, my meal was 220 pesos but each margarita was 450 pesos($ 35US for one small-sized margarita!). Never again.

I had to think long and hard whether this should be a 3 or 4 star and even with the negatives I gave them the benefit of the doubt and went with 4 stars. The scenic view, patio, furniture, and décor are gorgeous. We were promptly seated the service started out great. We were really excited when we saw the menu and had a hard time deciding what to order so we started by sharing the lobster bisque bread bowl. It was ok — my husband loved it but I thought it was a little grainy. The bread bowl was a bit dry — not melt in your mouth like you’d get in SFO but this is Mexico and baked goods are generally on the dry side. For dinner I ordered the baked fish(which was Mahi that night) with spinach sauce and my husband ordered the lamb/shrimp/lobster combo. The mahi was two huge steaks situated on steamed spinach leaves with a creamy spinach sauce all over it — and it melted in my mouth. The veggies were fresh and barely steamed so they still had some crunch to them. The rice was good although I don’t eat rice often. My husbands combo plate was fantastic — the shrimp were at least 4 – 5 inches long and the lobster was the best he had all week. The chef does a fantastic job of making the plates look beautiful. The biggest problem we had was that as soon as the food came out we were completely attacked by flies. We couldn’t even keep them off of our food. Everyone around us was having the same problem — it was total mayhem. The waitress brought out this smoking glove contraption filled with some kind of butane or gas and put it on the table and it smelled horrible. She also brought out a tall oscillating fan and put in on one of the empty chairs and it was pointed directly at us making our food cold instantly. It was really frustrating. Had they told us there was a fly problem we would have opted to eat inside so we could enjoy our food while it was hot. I was really annoyed eating cold food given our bill WITHOUT any drinks came to $ 100. After we were done, it seemed our waitress just disappeared or went home. My husband had to get up and go find someone to bring us our bill and we still had to wait a while to get it. Yet, the dessert lady was insistent on showing us the desert options multiple times as if we would suddenly change our minds. Food is outstanding, flies and service were a huge issue at this place.

This place was an upscale restaurant located near our resort. Like all places on the tourist area, its more expensive than here in the States. Its a nice venue with live music during the more high times. But we ate here at 5PM on a Monday so it was basically empty. The provided free chips and salsa and chilled vegetable and cactus appetizer. The cactus was a refreshing dish and complemented nicely with our main dishes. We ordered the Puerta Vieja Specialty(Lamb Chops, Shrimp, and Lobster Tail) and Fish Fillet stuffed with Sea Food. The stuffed fish was an interesting take and the sauce was delicious. The Specialty was standard fare and didn’t feel to interesting. After eating at other places in Cabo, we realized that this combo is at every restaurant since it seems tourists measure dishes by the meat content, not by the flavoring. The stuffed fish was definitely worth it but the Specialty was OK but not worth the price.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. We enjoyed sitting outside on the patio with a great view of the arch. The waiter made recommendations and we tried many. The Panela appetizer was combined with pineapple and a mild spicy sauce. It was really good.
