Don’t expect to come here for the ambiance. The no-frills concrete building across from the taxi station is the locals go-to for convenience store-like groceries and a simple lunch counter. If however you are looking for a blow-your-mind delicious lunch away from the tourist traps, this is your spot! Hubby and I got 2 amazing tortas and the best shrimp burrito I’ve ever had for 80 pesos, inc tip. That was under $ 6.50! And though they don’t serve drinks, if you purchase them(inc beer) from the refrigerated cases in the grocery section, they can put it in a plastic cup for you to consume with your meal. We got a recommendation for this place from our taxi driver the previous day when I asked about locals spots. Nobody speaks a lick of English and there were no other tourists here, but the proprietors are great at understanding grunt and point! ;)
