Having raised Angus cattle in Canada, I highly recommend the Merendero restaurant for the rib eye steak. It is by far the best steak I have found in the Ajijic area. The steak arrived hot and cooked to perfection as I had ordered it, medium rare. The staff were extremely friendly and made sure we were satisfied with our orders paying attention to details. In addition to the steak my friends and I have ordered other items from the menu and have always been satisfied with the quality of the meal and service.

In the heart of Ajijic, the Marendero has an new look and a fabulous new menu including seafood and steaks. Its well worth the visit and not at all expensive. The service is outstanding and the food cooked to perfection. English is spoken too.
