Firefly

I only fly with Firefly Airlines once! Reason because it turn down the direct flight from KL to my hometown. Well, of course I will choose the direct flight from other airlines instead of stop at somewhere else.
Back to the point, my flying experience with Firefly Airlines was quite satisfying. As many know, Firefly Airlines is a sub-​airlines of Malaysia Airlines. And hence, the service provided was above average. With lower cost but same standard as higher cost airlines, Firefly Airlines did a very great job.
I guess now Firefly actually supports web check-​in. But back to my time, they don’t have. Godness! I have to rush to airport so that I won’t miss my flight. The seat of Firefly Airlines was comfortable, I enjoyed my flight with Firefly Airline a lot. Hopefully, they can open for more direct fight in Malaysia so that I can continue showing my support to them!

Flying with Firefly once from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore, it’s almost gave me a heart attack. I will considered this as a short distance flight which only took about 1 hours time to reach destination but it caused several times of hiccups before landing without single warning in advance. I even saw the stewardess fell down while serving the passengers. This small plane make me feel insecure and the experienced that I had was too adventures for me.
Although this budget airline do provide free drink and snack even for an hour flight and the cabin crews were more friendly compared to AirAsia, but I don’t think I will fly with Firefly in this short period unless it’s necessary.

My first time flying with Firefly and I felt highly claustrophobic, I was having butterflies in my tummy in view of the airplane being so small as compared to AirAsia. My flight [FY2219] was from Subang to Penang which was on time; thankfully, I must say the airport needs more gates and signage to the right aircraft.
Manage to get myself on board; the cabin staff were really pleasant and attentive. The usual flight safety briefing went on as normal. Snacks of nuts, buns, juice or soya milk were provided by the nicest staff (FOC) — a couple minutes of bumps before take-​off and that was it, the rest of the flight was smooth and a breeze.
On my departure date I was informed by mobile text well ahead of the one hour delay which gave me extra time for some shopping. Flight back [FY2210] was even better, considering I didn’t even realize the plane had taken off. Touchdown was precisely on the minute. Definitely my #1 preference for domestic flights. The Subang Airport is also much more convenient that KLIA/​KLIA2.
