Teow Chew Meng has been around for quite some time, but I only started going there since last year. The restaurant is located few doors down from Lobsterman, facing the housing area of SS2. The place can be quite crowded, especially during dinner time. However, we did not need to wait too long for our food to be served. Teow Chew Meng is famous for their Mee Sua dishs, especially the Mee Sua Tow. If you dislike starchy food, then this might not be your favourite, as the gravy is really starchy. The mee sua was flavourful, but is best to go with some vinegar. The portion is big enough for 2 person, unless you have a huge appetite. Also, I would recommend the baby octopus as an appetizer. The boiled octopus was crunchy, and served with prawn paste sprinkled with peanuts. It not common to find this dish in Klang Valley, but they’ve done it pretty good. Overall, I like the food there a lot, especially the mee sua. As for the pricing, some might argue that it’s expensive, but I think the portion is enough to be shared among 2 person.
