Glad Tidings

One of the best churches in Petaling Jaya!
When I was younger, I attended the Sunday service in the older building along Jalan Gasing. Over the years, my family and I grew to love the church and have witnessed it prosper first hand.
I can not be more proud of how far the church has come. The new church is extremely spacious and has a very vibrant buzz about it on the weekends.
The people who worship here are kind and definitely would make Jesus proud. They are extremely courteous and warm, you’ll feel right at home with them.
The church also takes pride in their worship team, the quality of music produced is unparalleled. They are an excellent bunch! You can really feel the presence of God during the worship session!
The only downside is that the parking can not accommodate most of the cars during Sundays as there are too many people. I’d recommend arriving early to get a nice parking spot.

Nearly every year without fail, I would find myself in Glad Tidings PJ for an event. Known as one of the biggest and most vibrant churches, Glad Tidings ensured that visitors are ushered in with smiles and cheers. The church itself is a big church with many different halls available for usage. I’ve gotten myself lost trying to find the main hall for the event once. There is a big lobby space in front of the main hall that allows for people to congregate and have small talks before the doors to the event are opened. Usually during Christmas, there would be pretty Christmas decorations all over the place. The main is big and has a large balcony seating at the top. This would be a great place to hold large conferences. The sound system is great and the sound travels well to the back. There was once I was sick and had some food poisoning, so I had to sit at the back, but I could hear the music and the speaker just fine and very clearly. They also provide two large screens at the side for people to view what’s happening on the stage. So far, I’ve never had a bad experience visiting Glad Tidings. In fact, I constantly find myself leaving this place with a smile on my face.

Glad Tidings is an Assemblies of God church. This is one of the very first church I’ve visited in Klang Valley. They used to have their services in a cinema in PJ New Town before they had their own building. Then after that they shifted to Jalan Gasing, today they have their own premises with a vision center that has recently won architectural design award.
They are very active with cell group where they have different group cater for different age groups. They range from secondary, college/​campus, young adults and adults or family. The church provides a lot of resources such as, creative ministry, evangelism, healing rooms, junior church, library, lifecare, missions, sports just to name a few.
Their healing rooms ministries is in partnership with the International Association of Healing Rooms headquartered in Spokane, Seattle, USA. They are very committed in healing of every individual that walked in every Monday night.
They have Saturday services at 5pm, Sunday at 8.30am and 11am.
