The Funny Mountain of KL perhaps? It’s probably not as good as Funny Mountain but it’s definitely the best that I’ve tasted so far in KL. Jenny Hong is a tau fu fah truck in TTDI that sells tau fu fah(of course), soya bean and snacks such as moist cake. The tau fu fah is smooth and soft, along with your choice of brown sugar or white sugar. I’m personally a fan of brown sugar so I usually order the tau fu fah with brown sugar. They also have soya bean with cincau or you can also order tau fu fah mixed with soya bean too!

BEST Taufoofa and soy milk in KL ! Jenny Hong run’s a fleet of trucks selling soy delights and home made cakes/kuih. She deploys them all over the Taman tun and KL area. Her flagship store is in located on the ground floor in the Pasar Besar TTDI, she still personally runs the store. There’s a photo of her and Tun Mahathir having a bowl of her tau foo fa hanging on the wall of the shop. The truck in Taman tun is located in front of Pasar Raya Taman tun(128 – 130, Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi, Taman Tun Dr Ismail) almost 7 days a week. The prices are a bit steeper than usual as Jenny believes in only serving quality products. Her soy products contain no additives and the soy milk is not watered down. I’d definitely recommend dropping by to get a nice hot bowl of tau foo fa with brown sugar and to wash it down with a cup of cool soy milk.

While Soya Vita Jenny Hong is well reputed for their abuse on soya beans by grinding them and making them to delicious little cups of soya jelly(tau fu fah) or cups of soya bean drink, it is pretty easy for me to conclude that this is the place to go to get those soya products due to the sheer simplicity of these products. As my friend Saiful showed me this place and showed me what can this store offer to me, I am pretty surprised by pretty much everything it made. The soya jelly is soft, sometimes fluffy and easy to the mouth, an easy indication to a good bowl of soya jelly. Then again, I am not a soya jelly expert, but of course you can trust on me to say that this is definitely the place to go to get your cups of soya products. One last thing though; I am definitely not joking about the physical abuse on soya beans themselves. Save them, please… Or not. #savethemsoyabeans
