This is one of the few ‘tai chow’ in this posh neighbourhood. You can hardly go wrong with this shop. By day, you will have the economy rice which has tons of varieties but since seats are limited, most people would just take away. They also have a few random noodles stalls. By night, this is ever popular restaurant that is perfect for your ‘tai chow’ cravings. If you are coming in a large group, you can even book your meals in advance. But service is usually prompt. Everyone’s favourites have to be the Salted Egg Sotong, Butter chicken, Hokkien mee & the Guinness Pork Ribs, while i dont mind those. i recently fell in love with this oatmeal chicken. Another must note is that: this place is so affordable. It’s yummy and it’s easy on the wallet.

I couldn’t tell you how excited I am writing this review. This is by far my most favourite place to eat, ever!(in Kuala Lumpur of course). There was a period in my life when I always come here at least 4 times a week for dinner. The uncle knows me quite well and he always greet me politely every time I came here and quite funny but he never remembers what my classic orders are, and he always try to offer something different :) Anyway other than a warm welcome by the people working there, the food are incredible. My favourite is definitely the Oatmeal Chicken. I don’t think I ever get bored eating it, it’s that good! Love the friend rice with salted fish as well, also the four type vegetables. I mean I don’t think I ever get disappointed eating any of the meal there(except the bitter gourd and that is also because I hate bitter gourd). Plus it is so cheap as well! I usually eat with my boyfriend and we ordered two dishes plus rice and drinks and it will cost us RM11 each for like a properly cooked meal. Couldn’t ask for more! Must place to visit especially if you are located in Bangsar

This is arguably one of my most frequent places in lucky garden for dinner. The place isn’t the best for parking but you know Malaysians, we always get our way to park a car anyway. There are multiple stalls in the day time but at night, the kitchen at the back opens up and they cook delicious Chinese food. The most common dishes I would order are kam heong pork, yao mak vegetable, sizzling hot plate tofu and spinach soup. There are much more dishes but I love my pork more than chicken. If you’re in Bangsar and you’re scrambling for a place to eat at night, why not try this out. Great food, great price.

My go to for Chinese when I’m around studying or hanging out. My mamak spot is just around the corner and sometimes I just feel like having some rice and dishes. There’s nothing special about how the restaurant looks, you know, just like your typical Dai Chao in your neighborhood. It opens around 6pm and half an hour later, its crowded. I usually come here with a small group of people, so it’s relatively easy to get a table. But once I had more friends with me and a wait couldn’t be prevented. One of my favorite dishes here is the Deep Fried Oat Chicken, this is also the first time I came upon this dish. Recently found out it’s a thing. I never thought you could have chicken and oat going together, and it is absolutely amazing. The chicken portion is served according to the number of pax, but most of the time, it’s more than enough. Another dish I’ll recommend is the Deep Fried Salted Egg Chicken, yes, chicken again. The salted egg dishes here are very well flavored, including their Fried Rice, if you prefer not to have dishes. The downside to this place is most probably the parking avalaibility. It can be tough to secure a spot if you’re new to the area, but once you know it well, you can find creative spots to park in. The price here is also only average, you can’t say its cheap, but it’s not expensive too.

A simple and cheap place to go to for dinner with your family or friends. Sin Lai Ping is a Chinese restaurant that serves dishes as well as fried noodles and individual rice meals. This restaurant has been around for quite some time so it looks very dirty and run down but other than that, the food is great. For those who are more concern on the cleanliness of where they eat, this place may not be so suitable for you. My favourite dish here is the Claypot Lau Shu Fan. It’s usually a dish that I will order if I’m looking for a quick meal to eat alone. Nothing special about this restaurant unfortunately.
