I was told that this place serves nice food and here I was without hesitating, I ordered the famous chendul to try while having a nice seat, within minutes I was served — pretty impressive! Although I must say there is no crowd so to speak. If you are looking for Penang cendol, this may be a nice place for you to have the similar taste. Their laksa and mee jawa is not bad. Honestly, the price is slightly over-rated. So you need to be prepared to pay slightly more than what you should be paying for the similar dish in Penang. If there isn’t a crowd, service is better and you don’t need to wait for your table/seat. I find this place reasonably okay to visit once in a while :)

This is probably the best place in town to curb Penang homesick! They serve good Penang and Nyonya delicacies like Laksa and Cendol. I always thought delicacies sold on street(but not in shopping mall) are good, but not others. Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul proves me wrong! I ordered Assam laksa and it tastes really great! With thick and tasty soup, it is so much joy to slurp the chewy noodle(Lai Fun). I love their seating arrangement which are divided into 2 zones, one inside the store and another being further away from the store. That kinda gives me freedom to chill and enjoy my Penang food for longer time. Another plus point, it is inside a shopping mall, with great air-conditioned environment! They sell Java mee, curry mee and spring roll, which worth a try too!

My hometown is Penang & I only get to go back during celebration time. I miss the all the good goods especially the Penang Road cendol at Georgetown! Now that they have outlets at all major mall I can easily fix my craving! The cendol is delicious, almost similar with the one at Georgetown. The finely shaved ice with pandan flavor cendol noodles in coconut milk, topped with gula melaka for that sweetness. This is a must try! The laksa just reminds me so much of my hometown, I shed a tear into my laksa bowl and continue slurping the tangy noodles. The Teo Chew Fried glutinous cake was so good, served hot together with the slighty salty and spicy dipping sauce. do try it out for the authentic taste of Penang!
