Marketplace Cold Storage

One of the higher end supermarkets with international imported products.
The store is quite large for its location and the selection similar. They offer a wide range of sushi and cooked meals so its great if you are not enjoying cooking much. Another great thing about the place is that they deliver so you may get your food and your groceries at your door.
They cover a very wide range of products from cold cuts, cooked meals, plants, wine and more. The cost is slightly higher than a regular grocery storey so be mindful of that and of the fact that most products are imported so make sure you check the expiry date.

In case that you are around The Gardens Mall and you need to do some groceries, this place can be the perfect options.
But before going here, there are some things which you need to know. The price of the food here is not so cheep, therefore you need to prepare your pocket. Another thing is the fact that this is perfect if you are looking for European /​America products, which are imported. A;most everything here is imported, so I don’t know how fresh the food is. The good part is that they have a wide variety of products and brand, which will satisfy everyone.
I did some groceries a couple of time from here, and I will definitely buy again, but it’s not in my Top 3 groceries stores.

Cold Storage in Mid Valley is different from other high-​end supermarkets as it called Marketplace Cold Storage. It’s because there’s a place for wet market where live seafoods such as fish, lobster, oyster, mussels are all available.
Other than that, you can also find imported groceries from different countries here such as fresh fruits, daily goods, cans food, wines and even cooked foods. If you’re a expa who currently living in Malaysia, you may like this place!
It’s expensive. I’ll usually only look for imported foods which is not available from other supermarket. And service here is not good, most of the staff here work very slow.

Slightly different from other cold storage, they name this one as the marketplace by cold storage and it’s located in the gardens mall, near the lg floor link to mid valley mall.
Not too big a supermarket, the marketplace however has pretty much everything that you’ll be looking for. Don’t be fooled by how small it looked from the outside, it’s actually quite a long way in.
Selling a great variety of items and brands here, you can easily find a lot of international brands that you’ll find it tough to find somewhere else.
Having a lift very near to the supermarket, it’ll be of great convenience if you park nearby the lift’s exit.
I actually bought some cooked food here for a quick dinner before i head to my movie at gsc mid valley. They actually have discounts for their food when it’s approaching evening so that they can finish selling their cooked food daily.
However, you might find that other items here might be slightly more expensive than the other supermarkets. Even though so, i think the price difference is bearable and again, they are importing products that you couldn’t easily get elsewhere — so the price difference is reasonable, no?

This chain of supermarkets combines a great variety of products with decent service, which I guess is a rare combination.
They offer a great variety of fruits and vegetables, a decent selection of organic products and everything else you can find in a supermarket. What sets this place apart for me is that you can buy cheap and fresh sushi and sashimi among other cooked food, which can make your life very easy.
Unlike other supermarkets, they also sell plants and flowers, saving you a trip to the flower shop in a rushed day!

This place is really cool! You got a variety of seafood options and you definitely can find anything you missed from home there! it’s a place for Expats and high end local consumers. wouldn’t advice it for a weekly normal grocery shopping, but best for a once in a while «treat myself well» kind of shopping.
Unless you don’t mind being the high end consumer then be my guest! :) I’ll start going there more often too in a couple of year ;)

It took me a while to find the best groceries store in Kuala Lumpur.
It is a good store, but it really depends what you are looking for.
Cold storage is a pricey store that offers you a wide variety of cheese, western food, and western delights.
Another thing why cold storage is a good place to shop is when you are too lazy to cook and you love your sushi.
However for daily fresh vegetables and just some casual groceries this is not a place to shop. It is that place where you go when you miss the West and just want to get some specific snacks.
Better go for Aeon, they have much wider selection of groceries! :)
