Located amongst touristy places, I thought the prices here would be higher than usual — but they were not! I was pleasantly surprised to see that the things were actually reasonably priced and affordable for tourists and Malaysians.
They sell a bunch of different things here — if you are looking for «old-​school-​looking» bowls, nice chopsticks or antique things, you can expect to find them here at affordable prices. This place is within walking distance from Pasar Seni LRT.

Located just near the famous Petaling Street, Kwong Yik Seng Crockery is my mom’s best place to shop for crockeries and at a cheap price. I always come here when I was a little girl and mom has been friends with the lady owner.
Three weeks ago, mom brought me here while we were at Petaling Street shopping for some goodies and the main purpose of coming here was to show me the Chinese tea set that we should be buying for my tea ceremony. Surprisingly, we saw the similar tea set in SS2 and found out that here in this shop, they are selling at a much cheaper price. Only RM36.90 for a tea set to be used for weddings!
Without further due and with my agreement, mom bought it right away and we were all happy bunnies! So if you are looking for any Chinese traditional crockeries, do drop by here and I was told that there is no GST!

I’m no oriental antique, china or crockery fan lest expert, but Kwong Yik Seng caught my eye with its cheap Chinese knick-​knacks and tableware arranged along the corridor. Extra large chopsticks are sold at RM1, bowls are going at 5 for RM10, chinese tea cups at 1.20 each etc etc.
It was fun to window shop at Kwong Yik Seng although you have nothing in particular to buy. They have arrays of oriental vases, teapot sets, and decorative statues of Chinese deities.
The shop keepers are elderly ladies and gentlemen who are friendly and would assist you with your shopping.
Opening hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
Getting here is convenient, about 5 minutes walk away from the Pasar Seni LRT/​bus station.
