Huckleberry Food & Fare

Came for dinner in Friday — busy but service staff were attentive. We had the fish tacos and the cheeseburger. Cheeseburger was delicious — moist tasty beef patty, fries average. But the fish tacos were a disappointment after having eaten fish tacos elsewhere.

There’s not much food options. The coffee is great though. It’s a bit too far from the city but you can easily grab an Über for less than $ 10.

A distinctive «café-​cum-​bakery» standing for varieties of hand-​crafted bread, cakes, pastries, classic sandwiches, healthy superfood salads, soups and hot meals. Huckleberry is the ideal place for fresh bakery in the early mornings or a place to hop for desserts after that dinner for luscious sweet treats, designer coffee and after drinks. The décor itself transported me away to a french rustic style bakery (very hipster-​ish), with its rustic blue panelling, decorative glassware, chalkboard written menu, wooden floor boards and tender lighting.
The moment I slide the doors to enter this café, I was blown away by the bodacious dessert selection of red velvet cake, macadamia cheesecake, cupcakes, lemon curd coconut cake, blackout chocolate cake, eclairs and so much more. The whiff of artisanal coffee allured me to order one for myself. At a humble price of RM 8.90, the caffe latte which is crafted from Sumatran Gayo coffee, has a very smooth taste and flavor with no bitter after taste. Beautifully placed in an 8oz cup with the signature smooth leaf latte art, show that they have a talented barista in house.
I tried their macadamia cheesecake RM 16.90, and it was fit for the gods. The cheesecake itself was dense yet soft, while the bottom thin graham cracker layer, has hints of buttery flavor, which made addictive after the first bite. The generously portioned macadamia nut was crunchy and has a nice butterscotch sweetness to it, as it was candied in a delicious caramel. The cheesecake itself was not particularly sweet, which made a great balance as i combined everything together.
The service here is both friendly, prompt and efficient. I felt like their service was comparable to the american style of service. My water was always filed, and wait staff was always available when prompted. I can’t wait to come back and try their artisanal breads and other dessert. Parking however can be an issue, since there is only meters street parking. My best suggestion is to come in the evening to avoid the hassle of hunting down parking spaces.
They have indoor and outdoor seating, which is convenient for those who like the choices. Their décor and seats are utterly comfortable and only the most beautiful and well detailed furnitures are used here, very classy indeed.

New bakery /​café that offers wide selection of bread, croissant, pastries & cakes.
I like how they serve the juice chilled in ice bucket. Turkey ham & cheese sandwich that I ordered was pretty good, French toast style bread was fluffy & soft, absolutely love the generous ham and cheese filling, salad sides was good too.
We will definitely be back again!
