As a fashion designer based in Nilai. I’m always going around KL looking for good tailors who can assist me on last minute alterations for the clients I have in KL. I can’t be going to and fro from Nilai to KL for last minute hemline adjustments. It won’t be cost effective for me and I can’t be lugging around my sewing machines everywhere I go. Nanti rosak.
But before I settle on a tailor, I have to send them a couple of sample pieces to determine the quality of their work. Quality and detailing is something I take very seriously in my line of work. «Its all in the details!» as the age-​old saying goes.
I sent in a couple of my personal pieces for alterations (I have lost a surmountable amount of weight since I started working out early last year) for them to work on. But much to my dismay, they didn’t get the alterations to exactly as how I imagined. My pant was still loose, and the darting on my dress shirt was poorly done. To make matters worse, all this took two weeks to complete (I’m used to having alterations done in a couple of hours by my panel of seamstresses.) I can’t have my client wait two weeks for minor alterations.
