Many customers on the weekends regardless of the time. I plan to buy a birthday cake to my friend. So, after I look around the cake, I asked one of the staff for the type of cake because all written in short form. Example like CNC. This stand for cookies and cream. Then, once I confirm the cake and make reservation in order to collect at late noon, the staff asked me to pay first but due to too many customer on that time, he asked me to pay later when I collect the cake. He didn’t asked for my name and just walk away. I thought he was just entertain me. Thus, in the late noon when I go and collect. I noticed that the cake written a note reserved and the service is good as he remember me. Felt being attentive by the staff. No wonder so many people here all the time.

Celebrating my aunt’s big FIVE-ZERO, we intended to get her a surprise birthday cake. And what better way to top off a milestone than to celebrate it with ice-cream cake? Baskin Robbins was the first thing that popped into our minds. As we ran our course into their menu, we thought the perfect selection has to be the ‘Ohana’ cake. For those who don’t know what that means, Ohana means family. Sounds familiar?(Disney geek) The Ohana cake is a chocolate cake that is frosted with white chocolate, with dark chocolate embellishments. Also, it is topped off with a few mini scoops of ice cream of your choice. This costed us a whopping RM106 for the cake itself. However, when we sliced it, we knew it was worth it as we got a lot of ice cream layered between the chocolate base of the cake. Unlike other bakeries who skimp on ice cream on their ice-cream cakes, this cake was a real winner. My aunt enjoyed it — and she hates sweets!

One of the very well known artisan ice cream stores in Malaysia, Baskin Robbins has surely reasserted its social status by opening their café in the Gardens Mall. Not an enclosed café, their concept is an open one. They are famous for the wide range of ice cream flavours that they offer, which include even low fat ice cream and sherbet, so give yourself a feast treat here if you like ice cream. However, do note that you might have audience walking pass while you slurp on your wonderful ice cream, so if you don’t mind that we are all good. Prices here are on the high side, but then again they are selling artisan ice cream, so this’d be what you’d be expecting.
