Sungai Congkak(Congkak River) is a long river whose streams come from a waterfall. I only went to one section of the river and it was a good place to have some fun in the water. The whole river is covered with lots of smooth and beautifully formed boulders and rocks. The water in the area I went was clear and good, but the current can be a bit strong. It is best to go in barefooted to avoid losing any slippers and what not. Also, try not to go to far upstream because the current gets stronger upstream. The water level can be low and can be up to knee level depending on which part of the river, but don’t worry, it is not deeper than knee level. The river is surrounded by trees so it’s cooling. Some people choose to have a mini picnic by bringing their lunch in tupperwares along and eat on of those huge rocks around, or by the side of the river. I prefer to have my meal before going, but snacks would be good because I’ll get hungry from playing in the water. If you’re bringing food, remember to clean up after eating.
