my first encounter with ichiran was in fukuoka! what a first for me back then! buying a classic tonkotsu ramen via a vending machine? sitting in a small private little cubicle slurping? such a novelty of an idea that can so suceed in SG! but alas they do not YET have a presence back where i call home. now after such a long break, i end up seeking ichiran in yokohama?! the supper stomach knows best and thanks to Unilocal,i zoomed in on this ichiran and navigated here with relative ease even though i’ve never been to yokohama before! it’s location near sakuragicho station can’t be better. it’s being opened 24/7, means not only can i eat how i want to but also when i want to. love the noodles, made for slurping and swallowing. love the secret red sauce, ever so spicy and tantalizing. love the broth, collagen rich, quality water sans smell. love the pork, now even better than it was before. love the customization, challenging if you don’t read and/or speak japanese. love the taste, of quality without trans fat. love the service, swift, polite and unintrusive. love the attention to details, a clothes hanger here, a toothpick there, a tissue box EVERYWHERE. ichiran has descended upon HK, fingers crossed SG is next?!
