I absolutely loved this aquarium. Located in a mall, we weren’t expecting much but we wanted to see the aquarium’s outside exhibit with seals, penguins and otters. We made it right on time to see the seal show — since it was October, the show was Halloween-themed with the seals balancing pumpkins on their noses and dancing to Michael Jackson’s Thriller! The indoor exhibits were just as impressive — they had a nautilus! I’ve only seen a fossilized version of a nautilus, not a real one before! They had plenty of other unique sea creatures as well! Although this aquarium is smaller than most I’ve visited, they really made up for it with the variety of unique underwater creatures they had for you to see. It was a bit crowded and loud when we were there but where in Tokyo do they not have crowds?

Trying to figure out what to do with a 2.5 year old in Tokyo isn’t that hard. There are so many places that cater to children. This aquarium is one of them. The Sunshine Aquarium wasn’t on my actual list of places to go to since the Sumida Aquarium is much larger and close by as well. We stopped over here just because it was raining and we needed something to do. This aquarium is spectacular. It wasn’t busy and the assortment of exhibits is better than some aquariums at larger cities. They even have their own penguin and seal/otter exhibit. The aquarium itself is clean and easy to navigate through. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for something to do with the kids.

Lovely aquarium! The uniqueness of this place is the fact that it’s located on the tenth floor of the building! I recall the first-ever roof-top aquarium? They also have a little seal show that I got to see and it’s super cute! The day that I went, it was raining; however, the aquarium is prepared and provides umbrellas! A must go!

On the roof of a multi-level mall lives an open-air aquarium. Crazy, with what looked like the equivalent of a «Habitrail» for Hamsters, but this was for seals swimming in a couple feet of water. That was one of the most unique things I saw here, fairly typical aquarium, though a friend told me that they were one of only 3 aquariums that have a(shovel head shark??)

J’aime beaucoup cet endroit !
