The main reason I gave Ryoma a 4 is because of the price for for the quality of food as well as it’s named after the famous Sakamoto Ryoma: D This place is in a back alley near Sophia University(Jouchi Daigaku) and is actually a great choice for students to have lunch. Their lunch menu ranges anywhere from about 500 yen to 800 yen and the portions are very filling and tasty. We got the standard chicken teriyaki bowl(550 yen) and chicken soborou jyuu(750). Both came with Miso soup and one came with tofu as well. As far as the taste… Everything was really good for the price. The chicken was cooked well and it was easy to eat. The teriyaki wasn’t too sweet and didn’t have a strong taste and went well with rice as well. And the sobourou jyuu(minced meat with egg) was really good as well. When mixed with the rice it’s a good contrast with the teriyaki chicken so you don’t get too tired of the taste(if it’s too much teiryaki, at least for me I get tired of the taste very quickly…). Overall if you’re in the area it’s a good place to try out for lunch as it’s cheap but decent quality. It seems like it’s a good drinking place at night as well but that’s something you’ll have to see for yourself!
