Lunch for 2 was a chilli cheese burger, bacon cheese burger and some sodas… While the ingredients were probably of higher quality than the average burger joint, the taste of the burger just didn’t come close to those of In and Out, or Fove guys burgers in the US…

Burger was Good! Fish and chips also! Salad bar was mediocre but hey not many places give a free salad bar with your burger and French fries. Service was good and plenty of seating, good music and vibe. I enjoyed my lunch here.

Sometimes, even in the mecca of deliciousness that is Tokyo, shoving a hefty stack of American meat, condiments and freedom into your face is all that will do. In those moments, head to JS Burger. At the top of 3 flights of stairs, you’ll be rewarded with a slice of Americana in the form of a bacon burger with pineapple and avocado(or a chili cheeseburger, whatevs). Hot dogs, onion rings, and fried chicken also appear on the menu, although everyone in our group just stuck with beefy burgers. Finish it all off with a thick sundae or a slice of cheesecake to really make the experience complete. Is this the best burger you’ll ever have? Probably not. But will it curb your craving in all the right ways? Absolutely. There are worse ways to spend an afternoon than eating big juicy burgers alongside thickly cut steak fries on an outdoor patio overlooking Shinjuku station. As a note, they’re not hip to the gluten free trend yet, but it’s only a matter of time, I’m sure.
