It’s styling itself on a classic British ale pub. Pints or half pints, thankfully no bloody schooners to be found here. I don’t mind this place at all. It’s down a steep stairway and not that easy to find, but look out for the«real ale» sign and if you are weary from the mad rush above street level it gives you a chance for a pint in relatively nice surroundings. Plus points are. Friendly staff, the best pint I have had in Tokyo. An amazing hoppy thornbridge IPA. Baseball on the TV. Negative points. Limited beer selection for calling itself a real ale pub, allows smoking(although this is the Tokyo norm) and … We’ll nothing else bad I can think of. Old mans styled pub doing a decent pint. No tabs here, you pay by the drink. If your in the area, check it out for a drink break from to sightseeing.

Basically going for an english pub vibe. Hungry for darker beers and ales? Then this place fits the bill. IT certainly did for us on a hot afternoon/early evening. But to be honest they only had one cask ale. Which is fine considering, but don’t expect the variety you would get in a real pub. It is also kind of nice to escape from the frenetic insanity of the are above. Also has an interesting selection of whiskey.
