This tiny place specializes in pastries that were called ‘egg tarts’ or ‘Dan Ta’ when I ate them at Chinese bakeries in Los Angeles. I have eaten quite a few at many different places, so I feel qualified to say that these are pretty darn good, relatively speaking. At this place they make the crust with multiple flaky crispy layers, with generous amount of butter. The egg is sweet and yolky. Since it is very rich, the size is small — I thought well balanced overall. The shop is not on the main street, you need to go around the back side of the family mart to find it. They have a water jug and a tiny bench if you want to sit for a minute. The space is small but kind of cool.
