There’s no shortage of casual cafes in Tokyo. If there’s a better one than Moja I’d be surprised. Their fried chicken and waffles is legit, as good or better as most places in the U.S. They have other food too, but c’mon, who’s gonna order that? In fact, walking through the restaurant I noticed many happy tables enjoying fried chicken and like two table having salad with looks of regret on their faces. Sucks for them. Assuming you don’t make the same error you’ll enjoy the meal here immensely.

I love this place. It is a but pricey if you order several things as most items cost somewhere around 800 to 1200 yen. The drinks are great and handmade and served really nicely. For example the teas come in a pot and you can pour yourself two cups. The chicken and waffles here are AMAZING! Had them as a lunch set and they were sooooo good. Lunch is of course cheaper with different kinds of deals usually. There are many seats and it is great for groups. We took a seat at the counter where there are outlets and iphone chargers available. Since its open really late its a good place to study and what not.

Moved from LA about 6 months ago and get a little homesick every once in a while. Could not sleep thinking about chicken and waffles so decided to come try out moja. And may I say OH MY GOD!!! It was one of the best chicken and waffle I have ever had in my life! The chicken was so flavorful and crispy, waffle was done to Perfection, and paired with their amazing maple syrup — nothing was wrong with it – everything was so right!!! The restaurant is like a modernized American diner. I can totally see a place like this doing well in Santa Monica!

The only place in Tokyo where I’ve seen Chicken & Waffles!
MOJA is a hidden gem located near the omotesando/​shibuya border.
It has a very hippie interior with lots of sofas & seats inside.
lunch price is around 1200 yen!
If you miss some C&W during your stay in Japan, I definitely recommend it

Such a welcoming atmosphere. Daytime is good for a coffee and a good book. Nighttime is good for a date. Chicken and waffles are TO DIE FOR, and in Japan! Also the Red Velvet was was really delicious too. The kitchen is open and viewable to the entire restaurant which adds a nice touch. Definitely recommend!
