Good«mexican» food. In no way authentic, but very tasty. It was a nice stop for us since this is our first time to Tokyo, and we’ve grown tired of traditional Japanese fare. This was a nice change of pace, and familiar. Their«chipotle» and«habanero» sauces surprised us. They had a nice kick to them and helped spice up the meal.

Good and spicy, very very tasty food and they are fast to get it all to you. That said, it’s more of a chipotle-ish style, and not true Mexican cuisine that you’d get in California or damn Mexico. However, it’s hella good and my butthole burned quite a bit the next morning, so the attempt was effective …and yes I’m on the toilet now. This is a «real time» review.

This is a chain restaurant in LaForet shopping center. It’s def not the best Mexican food in tkyo. Similar to Like Taco Bell I think. But it’s a little expensive for fast food. But if you’re craving a bit of Mexican it will do in a pinch. The guacamole was decent and you can add onions and coriander to your food if you wish. It’s big and clean with lots of seating. You order at the counter and they bring you your item to your table in about five mins. So it’s fast. It’s alright :)

Pretty good place to get your Mexican fix in Tokyo!!! Guzman y Gomez is located conveniently on the second floor of Laforet Harajuku, where Topshop once was(pretty bummed about the Topshop shutdown in Japan tbh, I like their shoes…) Anyways, the beef burrito is the what I would normally get, but on a «healthy» day I would go for chicken. The regular size is pretty small — whadaya expect, this is Japan :(so order large if you want a typical regular sized burrito. The guac is extra of course, but they charge you around 250yen for just a stingy amount. Self-served water and toppings such as jalapeño peppers, onions, cilantro, 3 different hot sauces, are offered along the side of the counter, which I personally think makes GYG better than Frijoles, ’cause you get a sh*tload of cilantro, jalapeño, and Habernero sauce(oh man, it burns my mouth everytime) could hit the spot. If you want to order the«regular» aka small burrito cause you’re on a diet or whatever but you’re worried about not going to be full after, I have a trick!!! Add lots of habernero sauce on your buritto, cause you’re gonna be drinking a lot of water in between to put out the fire in your mouth and the water will make you feel ridiculously full… no kidding. This works with the large burrito too, but after you might feel like your tummy is about to explode, and it is the worst feeling. Okay, in conclusion, I really like this place! YUMMYYUMMYYUMMY! If only it wasn’t that expensive so I could come more often. Most times, I just make my own burritos cause it’s cheaper.

I ordered the fish burrito bowl. It was composed of a bed of rice, with a modest sprinkling of beans, cheese, and tomato(salsa?). The centerpiece was a slab of panfried fish, which was overcooked and tough and rubbery. Luckily, the saving grace of this place was its sauce and toppings bar, so I was able to add cilantro, onions, and jalapeños to my liking.

Love it! =) Super Yummy! Great atmosphere with a touch of art and casualty! It’s in the heart of the city in Harajuku! Cant miss it! =) Try the enchilada!

The burrito was much like the burrito’s from Qdoba Mexican Grill in America. I ordered spicy pork, there was pork throughout the entire burrito but way too many beans. The tortilla chips were fresh and crunchy, the pico de gallo had a very fresh taste. The spicy chicken burrito was incredibly hot and spicy. The cashier warned us it was the hottest on the menu, she was right. The Coke(very small) ¥500 was overpriced. I will definitely return. Great Mexican, a little pricey.

I’ve been here twice now– once for a free burrito from their opening, and once later on! I was happy with the simple system where you pick a dish and pick from the fillings. I got vegetable nachos and a burrito(nice they have a vegetarian option). I didn’t have a problem with parts of my burrito being all rice, but even on the bites with mostly rice, I didn’t mind because the overall flavor was good and the burrito was still full. My only complaint would be with the nachos, though it’s not major. There was plenty of toppings, which was great, but I found it weird that they put giant wedges of green pepper all over it. Not really easy to eat when you normally use the chips to eat nachos… It’s close to my school and the food’s good, so I’ll probably be back.

I heard about this place on the news. Was a little over hyped if you ask me. My beef burrito was mostly rice and beans. It was not put together well. It was decent sized but the best part of my meal was the corona.

Entire zones of my spicy-pork burrito contained only rice and beans. Go to Frijoles if you must indulge a burrito craving in Tokyo. Better yet, swim to SoCal or NorCal. I’m from California and have yet to eat a recommendable burrito in Tokyo. Meh.
