Okey dokey, Mr Jones! Ambience 5: Set in the mean streets of Tokyo, it is the perfect spot to grab a hearty drink and get shit faced. The bar is located on the 2nd floor of a building near the heart of Shibyu. The floor plan is open, and the bar is rectangular shaped, located in the middle of the gastropub. Like always, I sat my huge, yet sexy american ass, at the bar. Above the bar is a chalkboard with the«goodbeers» on it, and the outer wall has a large window so you can see the busy street below and watch the passer byers. Food/Drinks 5: They had a good selection of craft beers, including a few beers from California. I was mostly interested in the Japanese craft beers. I ordered an IPA. It was well crafted and painted my palate with citrus and hoppy notes. For food I ordered mushrooms, olives, and roasted vegetable platter, They were all delicious but the vegetable platter was earth shattering. The food was, in my not so humble opinion, a little over priced but well worth it. Service 5: The service was great. The workers spoke good english, which was helpful for me, and were extremely friendly and answered all my lame questions to the best of their ability. Overall I had a great experience. They even had a bottle of a local favorite beer of mine, Breakfast stout by Founders. I will definitely be back the next time I have the opportunity to go to Tokyo. Kanpai!

Lame place. Four of us got in for a beer and dinner and the did not allowed us to seat even thought there was chairs. Pretty rude service. Not impressed.

I’ll give them credit for having the most robust beer selection I’ve seen in Tokyo. The menu is divided by beer types(pilsner, IPA, etc.) and each beer has a brief description. And added props for having some very hard to find Belgium beers available by the bottle. The location is convenient for anyone in the Shibuya station area and provides a nice 2nd floor reprieve from the crowds. I didn’t try the food, but it looked like standard bar fares.

Nice bar. Good beer selection. Pretty decent vibe. The interior was fine but nothing special. Good place to grab a beer or two as you move around Shibuya. I’d stop in again if I was in the area. Don’t think I’d make an evening there though. Something about the interior doesn’t make you want to stay around too long.

This place has to be a must visit if you like beer, in fact go even if you aren’t that much into beer! They have many many kinds to try and each with so much character. The manager Dede was kind to take time and talk to us about their brews. Chai beer and the whiskey one so yummy and interesting… but when in doubt have their regular lager, can’t go wrong!

Beer Stop 111 —– Goodbeer Faucets has a pretty large and well represented tap list. Some beers from the states(the best one being Ballast Point Victory at Sea) and some from Japan(can’t comment on the best one). Fiancé and I came here on a Friday night after dinner and thank god we made a reservation. The place was packed with mainly locals, but a few tourists sprinkled in. Everyone was enjoying themselves and asking about the beer we enjoy in San Diego. Here is the one thing I will say: the service is incredibly slow! That is the one reason why it gets a 3 star not a 4 star.

Good variety of beers and great location on a second story walk up, but the service is very slow and they forgot part of the order. Had to yell ‘summinassen’ multiple times… and I was at the bar. To add insult to injury there was an American bartender from Detroit that I said hi to, and she couldn’t care less…:.that pretty much captures the experience

Just my luck that I go here knowing they have Boundary Bay on tap, and I miss it. Just barely. Still their selection is incredible. Met a British friend here, and we caught up over delicious beer and people watching.

almost a 5 star review here. one of my fave beer places in japan. i’d say only the food lets it down… but the beer! 40 taps of well curated craft beers. they have happy hour! and wi-fi! yes! easy to find(relatively speaking it is shibuya after all). try it out!

Great atmosphere in this walk up bar, with an unparalleled draught beer selection. A must visit for anyone who enjoys a good pint. The Endless Brown Ale had a great flavor with no bitterness. The Yuzu Dream lived up to its name, amazingly smooth taste with a nice bouquet of aromas. For me however, the standout was the Smoke Pump Stout. Great roasted notes, smooth mouthfeel and as hearty as you’d expect from a stout. Though it might be sacrilege to say it, I’d rate it better than an draught Guinness(at least in Asia, I’ve not yet had the original in Dublin).

Great selection of beer both Japanese and import, polished clean ambiance. Beers priced around 800‑1300 yen with 200 yen off during happy hour. Convenient location next to Tokyu Honten. I was not particularly excited with the service last couple times I have been there though. When I arrived, they asked me to sit closest to the opening door of bar, with my back to it, despite there being plenty of open seats. Also, the staff behind bar, despite being not particularly busy, were also not particularly attentive — on a quiet night I had to shout ‘すみません!’ at rising volume four times to break one away from his phone. One the other hand, when I have been with a group at a table, I always found the service from floor staff to be quite good. And last year I felt I got better bar service too.

Another great stop on our unofficial Shibuya pub crawl. Located right above Family Mart. About a 7 min walk from Shibuya station. Nice views. Seats up to 40. Right at opening(5pm) it started filling up. A nice variety of craft beers, both Local & International. As advertised 40 beers on tap. My friends are trying to jinx me(the only single guy in the group) and ordered a beer with a catchy name, Mazama– White wedding white IPA. Oregon, US made. I don’t turn down free drinks and drank it. It was pretty good and smooth. Not as bitter as I was expecting it to be. Service and atmosphere was great. Will be glad to come back to try more beer and maybe some appetizers.

I read about Goodfaucets when I was searching for craft beer near where we were staying, and the place did not disappoint. A well-marked taphouse only one level up from the crowded Shibuya streets, Goodbeer faucets offers a great selection of craft beers sorted by style which makes for easy ordering. We went during happy hour so pints were ¥200 off(making them around ¥700-¥1000). We sampled the pulled pork, which was deliciously different to others I’ve had in that the flavor was more porky than BBQ. Definitely a hit with the crunchy baguette. I appreciated the smoke free atmosphere(there’s a terrace for those that need a fix), and there’s an English menu for those in need.

Wide variety of beers. I like how they list the country of the beer, alcohol percentage, and bitterness of each beers on the menu. Food was unique and pretty good. There are both Japanese and English speaking staff. Atmosphere was pretty chill. One thing I do have to highlight is that the bar stool seats come in different shape and sizes. Might be a little dangerous for people under the influence. I lost my balance twice sitting down, but then again, my tolerance dropped since I haven’t drank in awhile. Get 200 yen off a pint of beer during happy hour from 5−8pm if I remember correctly.

A solid craft beer tap room in a great location. Food menu looks great though I have not indulged. 40 taps, lot of top quality picks from the US. Wonderful, welcoming staff, English speaking, English menus, Japanese courtesy. BANZAI!
