Brand new, no frills gym that just opened up in Ebisu April 2015. For a foreign company, they are not foreigner-friendly. Details below. They need to make some serious improvements to how they treat their foreigner customers. Their policies need to change drastically. Facilities: — Located in the basement of the green glass building — 3 changing rooms — 2 dudes showers /2 gals showers(individual/one at a time use) — 1 dudes toilet /1 gals toilet /1 shared toilet — ~7 treadmills — 2 ellipticals(one of them is not great… so basically only one elliptical) — 3 benches /2 of them have bars — etc etc Awesomeness: — Located less than two blocks from the Ebisu JR station, even closer from the Metro station if you come out of the correct exit. — 24 hour access — Brand new equipment — Clean facilities Not so great: — I usually don’t run into issues of equipment being unavailable, but it does happen when there is a surge of people in the puny little space. — For dudes, usually there’s quite a line for the showers — For non-Japanese speakers… good luck. The staff here don’t speak much English. Another note to NONJAPANESE citizens. My corworkers were denied the ability to join this location because they did not hold a foreigner card or Japanese passport. This is not true. You DONOT need to have a foreigner card or Japanese passport to join this gym. As long as you show your passport and make monthly payments(cash or direct withdrawal from a Japanese bank account), you can join this gym.
