We couldn’t resist the smell of this place. It’s located a bit farther out from the formal restaurants and is a take out counter. By the time we got there on a Saturday night, they were sold out of many of their soups.
We got a regular dashi (kombu), which was unsalted. It’s interested to taste it before salting and then taste how complex it becomes after adding salt. We also got a dashi onigiri. The texture and flavor are good, but after a few bites, it becomes a bit monotonous since there’s nothing else in it.
Overall, it’s a good takeout counter, but the soups are best consumed warm. They accept credit cards even for small checks (the dashi was Y100 and the onigiri wasn’t much more.)
