Chisou Kuramasu

Don’t bother reserving through Unilocal,it won’t go through. I made a reservation for my family hoping for a great meal our last night in Japan. We were greeted at the door by a lady who claimed they had no such reservation and they were full. So we were turned away, freezing and hungry, at 8:15 pm on a Sunday. A man said to the lady in Japanese (which I understand just fine) that around this time just about every restaurant will be full. Yeah no kidding. It’s really soured our night. Off to have convenience store food or something I guess. I’m not sure who’s fault this is so I’m sticking this with three stars, but don’t fall for the Unilocal reservation nonsense like we did. What a joke.

My Osaka-​based colleague was so kind to take my husband and I to this sushi restaurant. It was one of the most memorable meals we had during our Osaka trip!
If I recall correctly, the chef’s family has a tuna farm (or knows the owner of a tuna farm very well) so if you order tuna sashimi or sushi here, it will be nothing short of amazing. They also offer some great sake to go along with your sushi.
Everything else that they served us was top notch, from the starters, to the mushroom soup, to the tempura. Unfortunately, I’m not sure if they have an English menu, so it might be best to bring someone who can read and/​or speak Japanese.
The staff is friendly, and they also share a kitchen with the next door izakaya owned by the same owner. The prices are also jaw-​dropping (in a good way) — very high quality fish for very affordable prices. 5 stars all day, baby!

Best sushi place located in the central area of Horie. Good for both lunch and dinner. We went at weekend lunch, but it was not so full and was very comfy.
They have various kind of fishes, I recommend you to ask them today’s recommendation!
I took 五色どんぶり, it was awesome.
Drop by when you are in Horie area and try to find a nice Sushi place!

It’s delicious fresh tuna restaurant. Try the tuna tasting plate! You could have a rare part of tuna！it’s very valuable! Anyways, check it out ASAP!
